It's the basic Skilcraft pen on steroids. The basic Skilcraft has been a part of every US Serviceman's kit for over fifty years and while functional, the plastic case is meh. This pen, which is standard issue for US Military pilots, has a metal case, two colors of ink and pencil. It's the Skilcraft pen we really wanted. Using it made me feel like I was back in the field writing one of the hundreds of reports I wrote in the past, but with a much better built pen. Skilcraft pens are made under the US Government's AbilityOne program that works with "LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired" affiliates to manufacture them. Buying this US made pen gives employment to many visual impaired people. Even without that info the pen is a solid value, but with the fact that it's made under the AbilityOne program you're buying an excellent pen that's made in America by people that deserve a good job. If you believe in "Buy American" then buy this pen.

Love the pen! I've had a few already, this will be with me for as long as I can hold on to it. Long as noone borrows without giving it back to me.

First became aware of this pin/pencil when I was commissioned a Warrant Officer. A fellow Warrant Officer gave me one (Warrant's know all the good things). It met all my needs as an officer in the US Army. And it still meets my needs in the civilian world. It gets a lot of notice. Most people have not come across something like this. I let them use it and they are sold. Great product. I wish it they a stylus version like the black ones.

Long lasting! Survived the washer and dryer on an accidental wash. I use it everyday. Recommend!

I absolutely adore these pens. They have fantastic build quality and are incredibly pocketable, especially in uniforms. The value for money is excellent for a pen of this caliber. My only complaint is the size of the pen tips. I would prefer them to be .5 millimeters instead of .7 millimeters.

Finally started using pen at work and the pencil portion doesn’t work. Unable to get lead through it. Is there a possibility of getting a replacement pencil tip, I have replacement ink cartridges already.

Pros: -Great weight -Smooth function -FOD Free (the O-ring keeps the eraser cap in place) -Easy to replace the ink -Long lasting Cons: None The pen has a great functionality to it. It stays attached to your flight suit or uniform while on the move. The pen works great for duty use or everyday meetings. Replacing the ink is a very simple and quick process. Highly Recommend.

Son is an Air Force pilot and uses these. He says this pen is what he needs.
