Seems to be working
After having a complete stool analysis done, I knew I needed resistant starches to help feel the bacteria you can’t colonize with probiotics. I mix this with room temperature prune juice (obvious GI issues here), and it seems to be working well so far. I say that because there is definite bloating and has, so that means the bacteria are being fed and it leads me to believe it’s working. I’ll update with new colonization numbers after my next test is completed, but it’s nice to have a ready made supplement to turn to when my green bananas are no longer green to help colonize good bacteria. Can’t comment on regularity changes yet, but hoping once I’ve taken this consecutively for a month I will notice some improvement there too.

Very Good Option for Resistant Starch Fiber
I like it. I find this a very good option for adding resistant starch fiber to my diet. I mix a serving with my morning protein shake. It helps me achieve my daily fiber intake goal. Will buy again when it runs out, which is coming up soon.

Good for the gut
I think this might have fixed the gut issues I was having for months. I don't need to take this every day now, but it for sure helped when I was having some major issues.

Reputable name brand. Quality ingredients. USDA Organic.
I recently read about resistant starch and the possible benefits regarding blood glucose/insulin resistance and additional health benefits concerning digestive system and metabolic health. The nature of the resistant starch enhances the proper environment in the digestive system to sustain the gut microbiome. The Dr. Mercola brand has been around for a while, with a number of products, gaining a favorable reputation and following. So, this specific resistant starch complex was worth testing. This product includes different resistant starches: Type 1, Organic Tigernut Flour; Type 2, Organic Green Banana Flour; Type 3, Organic Pregelatinized Potato Starch. (Another key ingredient: Organic ResistAid Arabinogalactan) Oddly, the full ingredient list is not provided on the product label; The product details states the ingredients: "Organic Resistant Starch, Organic Green Banana, Organic Pregelatinized Potato, Organic Tigernut, Tuber Flour, Organic ResistAid Arabinogalactan". There are 7g of Total Carbohydrates, with 2g of Dietary Fiber. So, that would indicate 5g of Total Sugars (which they conveniently do not list). You would expect a reasonable number of sugars in a starch powder product. I wish they didn't omit this detail, though. As directed on the label, and in online research, the best way to use this product is adding a serving to water or favorite drink, also easily consumed in oatmeal, yogurt or a smoothie. Recommended intake of resistant starches is 15 - 20 grams/daily to support digestive system/bowel health. Using this powder is a very convenient and easy means towards that goal. Resistant starches "functions kind of like soluble fiber. Many studies in humans show that resistant starch can have powerful health benefits. This includes improved insulin sensitivity, lower blood sugar levels, reduced appetite and various benefits for digestion." (online reference). The label does display the badge for USDA Organic. This certification demonstrates the integrity of the ingredients, which checks off an important box for me. The price of $25.50, including the current 15% discount coupon, presents this product as very competitively priced amongst comparable products. It's a good value, especially for organic resistant starch powder. Based on these considerations, this product earns a 4.5 - 4.75 star rating, with a high level recommendation.
