This really moisturizes dry hair! It's better than the oatmeal blend, and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the smell. It has this weird "faux coconut/vanilla/plastic" kind of scent that hangs on until your hair is dry. If it didn't work so well, I would be put off by the odor, but this really helped my seriously dry hair. My curls are bouncing and soft again!!

I have wavy & thin hair, & in the summer Florida humidity, it becomes frizzy & unruly, no matter how short I cut it. This vegan shampoo cleans my hair & scalp with no residue, & makes my hair much more manageable & less frizzy. It doesn't dry out my hair, & does a great job controlling oil. A great buy for a great price.

I was using the Aveeno ACV Clarifying shampoo and conditioner daily but noticed my hair getting a little dry so I wanted something to alternate with. I’m trying to strengthen and grow my very thin and weak hair by using less heat, eating collagen, using minoxidil, etc, so I felt like adding this would be a good fit. It does not weigh my hair down or make it feel greasy, and I do think my hair feels more hydrated on the days I use this compared to the ACV blend. To me, it just smells like oats and has a nice light scent. Definitely going to continue using!

I was hoping that this shampoo could be a replacement for the discontinued shampoo/moisturizing Renewal Shampoo: alas, it was not. It does an average job of cleaning my hair, but the most disappointing thing is the lingering heavy, chemical smell. It there is nothing shampoo-y about the scent. All Aveeno products are about the same and are comparatively mild. I chose this one because I did not want my head to smell like a garden salad, nor a roasted turkey. I wound up just smelling indescribably stinky.
