Leather is real but a little thin, so it has stress cracks from being rolled up. Other than that, its great and looks and feels good

I love this real leather desk mat. I was a little nervous because of some of the negative reviews, but this real leather desk mat looks and feels great. My mouse glides across it effortlessly. It did have a strong smell to the first day but when I went to work the next morning the smell was gone. It does not scratch easily from what I have experienced. It is real leather so if it does, I can just rub it with some leather conditioner. Worth the price.

I was looking for a blotter that would 1. protect the surface of my desk, 2. provide a basic level of comfort to my arms while using the computer/keyboard, 3. look professional, 4. did not have side pockets for ergonomic reasons, and 5. would also provide an acceptable surface for writing. That last element, finding a blotter with an acceptable writing surface, was a surprisingly hard thing to do. I ordered several other options that I had to return because they were far too soft, and writing on them was impossible - the pens would go right through the paper or would imprint on the blotter, as it was clear that an emphasis had been placed solely on aesthetics and comfort over quality and practicality - they were made of faux leather sponge-like plastic. This desk mat is perfect. It was packaged beautifully. The leather is well treated, beautifully stitched, a perfect color, and durable. It does everything I need it to do (and really, what every blotter SHOULD do). The bourbon color is perfect for my mahogany desk. Highly recommend.

Seems kind of pricey, but I I think it’s worth it. Very high quality materials and workmanship. Looks great. Nice size. Not too big.

The sewing is very poor. The color is only superficial and many tears will appear just by sliding normal desk stationary on it. I absolutely don't recommend this product.
