I don't always leave reviews but I have to say I was really skeptical clicking on the "add to cart" button on this item. Reviews were mixed but mostly positive. I received the METAWELL 30" Stainless Steel 5 Burners Cooktop the other day and just installed it this morning. Packaging was excellent and the cooktop was lightweight but not flimsy at all. The burners are well made and lite quickly. The control knobs turn easily and feel very solid. For under $250 this unit is a real bargain. I highly recommend this cooktop for a expensive looking upgrade on a budget.

Initially we were pleased with the stovetop. However in less than 1 month we noticed that the brass centerpiece had become discolored and that one of the grates was slightly warped and no longer sitting flush. Amazon refunded the cost because the company was no longer a seller, meaning that replacement parts were not available.

After installation, the Gas dept inspected and did not approve it as it leaked the tubes installed by the manufacturer.

It was received in a box that looked like a truck rolled over it but when opened not a scratch easy to clean hot water wipe o spotting or streaking heat just right safe and to use for adult home I don't have any small children but I would take precautionary measures knobs are low and easily turned on causing injury or damage otherwise great does what its suppose to do

I think it was better than what i could find at home depot and lowes; the gold rim doesnt stay gold if you cook a lot. The burners initially had some issues with turning them but eventually they were easy to use. Overall, for the price, it is a decent quality. I cook a lot and it has been good so far.
