I needed a new water-resistant tool watch, and with 20 bars (200m), this thing fits the bill. But it’s so much more! This model doesn’t typically retail in the US; it’s a Japanese model. The white digits on a black screen are in erase of the American version, and it adds just enough flair and differentiation without being flashy. The GShock line is world renowned for its toughness and reliability, and this watch seems to live up to the reputation. This watch not only is tough, but it’s solar, which means it’ll stay charged, and it’s atomic, so it’s ridiculously accurate (+-1 second in 100,000 years). What an amazing machine! On top of that, it has an alarm function, backlight for seeing it in darkness, stopwatch, and world time functions. It’s very easy to setup, and should never need adjustments. I am thrilled to add this to my collection, and look forward to wearing it for sports, vacations, yard work, and any other time a great “beater watch” is called for. By the way, this watch is navy blue, despite the blackish tinge in the photos. All the better looking to me!

This is an amazing watch even better than I expected. Like other comments have said it is difficult to read in dark settings but there is an auto illumination feature that totally fixes that issue. I found the English user manual online to learn all the features and am very impressed.

I own many G Shocks, many squares and many negative display but this one is by far the hardest to read except in the perfect lighting. I still give it 5 stars because it has all the features I wanted and the color is absolutely awesome. Just be prepared going into it that if you eyesight isn't great and you struggle with negative displays you'll likely not like this watch. I'm considering putting a positive display module in it.

It's great. It has many featuresz and low visibility is not really an issue sincenit has a backlight readily available. Charges quickly. MB time sync is great. I use it to sync other watches.

Awesome color easy to read time an date! Only rub I have is the band holes are a little far apart and it’s either to tight or too loose ! Besides that great watch !

I mean what more could you ask for in a watch? It truly does it all and at an amazing price. Its my daily wear while at work and I don't have to give it a second thought. Normally I wear automatics that cost a lot more and I finally decided i wanted something I didn't have to worry about scratching. The atomic clock and solar are such a fantastic feature that I don't think I could live without anymore. Thanks!

If you are a G shock fan, it should be taken.

One thing to note about this watch is that it has a slight red tint to the screen that can only be seen in indirect light. I think it’s super cool but some people might not. Solid genuine gshock watch that works exactly as intended.

やっぱりチプカシとは違うなあ！機能性の良いモデルだと思う。デジタル表示は見易いし、電波ソーラーって面倒クサいことが一切ないなあ。あえてあげる難点は、本体を傾けるとバックライトが点灯する機能。傾け具合がもうひとつよくわからない。手首の内側に本体が向くように装着すれば良いんだが、それだとワイルド感が薄れる… 次は色の違うアナログ針の電波ソーラーが欲しいなあ。
