This is a great brand....my nutritionist recommended this brand for me, because I am gluten-sensitive, and try to eat healthy foods...great for a healthy, on-the-go quick snack! delicious also!

I've been ordering these for a while now and I've ordered over 200 of them with no issue and really enjoyed them; however, the last order I received was terrible. My experience was bad enough to question if I'll ever order more of these, which makes me sad because until now I really loved these. The sticks were received very soft and squishy. The insides of the sticks were pinkish and most of them smelled rotten after 2-3 weeks. I keep them in a cool dark area that's always around 70°F. My best guess is that this batch wasn't cooked or dried well enough to preserve them and possibly the reason they were going bad. They tasted ok at first (I had a hard time getting past them being really soft and mushy but they tasted fine), but it wasn't long before I bit into one with a bitter taste and then soon realized it smelled like rotten meat. Not log after I ate the bad one, I became sick. It was like a violent stomach virus and I had a very bad two days after. The expiration date on all of them reads "11-08-2016" so they're well within the expiration date. About 2 days later, I opened the rest of them, and I threw away 18 of the 25 that I ordered in this batch because they smelled rotten. Only 3 remaining sticks didn't smell rotten, but I couldn't bring myself to eat them. Very disappointed. I'm debating if I'll order again. If I do, I'll update this review. If you order these and get a batch like this, don't attempt to eat them like I did or open the rest to see if they're good. Just immediately return them because they might not be safe to eat.

Do Not Buy from Amazon!! I recommend going through Nicks directly! This is a great product and I absolutely love them. I decided to order for convenience through Amazon and was horribly disappointed with what they delivered. When I contacted Amazon support they dismissed to deal with Nicks directly. Nicks was amazing, responded quickly, courteously and shipped me a replacement to correct the problem. Being in customer service myself for over 20years, I am thoroughly impressed with Nicks professionalism. Just a shame Amazon failed to deliver on such a fantastic product. Buy through Nicks!!!!

These didn't taste anything like the ones we purchase at our local store. We bought these in bulk because we love them but when these arrived they tasted spoiled or just wrong. When we compared them to the ones we buy locally (exact product) they looked much lighter in color and kinda slimy. Not sure if they were a bad bunch or just inferior but they were just awful.

I was hesitant to purchase these as they were pricey, but I loved that fact that they were made from grass fed beef and real ingredients. They are also gluten free which is a must for us. I've been trying to find a quality, gluten-free beef stick for some time now, so ultimately, I felt it was worth trying them when they went on sale.They are tender unlike a lot of beef sticks. They have a wonderful, non-spicy flavor the even my daughter, who normally won't eat beef sticks, liked. My husband was thrilled to have some beef sticks to take on his trip as they make a great snack.These will be perfect for hiking, camping, snacks, and travel. I'd feel good about adding them to care packages because they're a healthy version of traditional beef sticks.
