I like these because they hold better tan velcro curlers. And they dry faster because they let more air un under the hair. I had very cheep set from dollar store and could not find more. These are petter quality then he first set. But they are inexpensive plastic and I imagine will break easy. The spikes that hold the hair are longer. So I can see why it would be a problem with long hair getting tangles. As with any curlers people with long hair would have trouble getting the external clip to fit if the hair is thick and long. I have medium length hair that is thin so I have no issues.i use these with an inflatable drying hood and works great, dries fast.

Ease of use

I like these curlers, but it says 1.4 inches on the bag, and the diameter of the roller is exactly 1 inch which is what I wanted when I bought the ones that say 1 inch and they were too small. So if you want 1 inch curlers order 1.4 inches to get the right size. They are nice for rolling wet hair and letting it dry or using a dryer as they allow hair to dry quickly. I don't use the snap on covers as they can leave a ridge. I use alligator clips. I'm a fan. They are very durable and a good value. I have been using this type of roller since the 1960s.

I love these. They are just like the ones used decades ago. They are strong enough to hold my thick hair with no slippage. They do not pop off. The curl is a soft body curl, very pretty.

I bought these because my mom used to use them when I was a little girl, and I wanted them as a reminder of my childhood, but wouldn’t buy it

Worst curl set I have ever used. No matter how long I would leave the roller in the spikes would comb out the curl in an instant. The rattail comb is good though.
