* Being an actual Weber grill component, this one is made to fit specific Weber grills, so make sure it is fully compatible with your grill before ordering it! I just got my wife a new Weber grill for her birthday. While shopping, I debated on ordering a flat-top, griddle-style propane grill. I compromised by ordering this griddle top component for my wife's grill. This way, I can easily swap it in or out when I want to use it. With this component, I can make bacon and eggs on the grill or cook up some grill small veggie pieces like onions or peppers. It is just what I was looking for and I'm glad I got it for the grill, though this thing wasn't cheap! It was quite a bit more than I expected to pay for it, but I wanted to get something MADE FOR my grill and this was it.

I'm SO happy I bought this to replace components on my Weber grill. Much to my surprise and delight, they are heavy and high quality - maybe even heavier than the Weber originals - at a MUCH cheaper cost than Weber. Easy to clean after cooking out. I'm hopeful these will last even longer than Weber's as well.

Even though claims factory seasoned, I slow seasoned each side on my grill with grape seed oil which has left a nice natural shine. Next test will be grilled salmon.

I wanted to be able to griddle on my Weber Genesis S-310 gas grill. This was a good add on since it covers 1/2 of the grill which allows me to griddle and grill at the same time. Being cast iron it is sturdy and holds heat well. I removed one of the grill grates (stacked it on the other side) and put this griddle in its place. While I have only used the flat surface side I expect the raised surface would be good for fish or leaving marks on a steak. Preheat the grill with all burners on to bring the griddle up to temp. I measure griddle temp with an infrared gun to make sure I’m where I want to be (350-450 degrees depending on what is cooking). It works great for smash burgers, sausage and onions/peppers, and anything else you want to griddle. Just add a little oil to begin cooking. I also use some water and spatula to rinse the surface when done and which keeps it clean. Make sure your grill drip catch pan isn’t full because the drippings and water will run down. Note that this size will cook about 3 smash burgers at a time so if you want to do more you will need a full size griddle insert. You might consider two of these is that is the case for flexibility. This is good way to enjoy cooking your favorites without having to add a dedicated griddle.

Bought this griddle grate for my Weber Summit series grill. Was the same size, material and fit as the Authentic Weber griddle at half the price!! Used it the first night I got it on the grill to grill veggies and it worked perfectly. Anyone looking for a cheaper version of the Weber one won't be disappointed. Must buy!!!

These are well made and cooked nicely. Easy to clean up. Remember that they are cast, it’s heavy.

This does NOT fit the E-310 Weber propane grill. They are too big for the grill I have. The grill parts are great quality. This product fits my E-330 Weber grill fine.
