Works great!
First off I have had a few different wifi solutions in my home. After researching and reading reviews I opted for the dual band model using cat5 as a backhaul between the 2 pods(cat5 prewired in home). Coverage around my house is great, and I don't have any drop out or band change issues. With over 30 devices connected the system seems to balance things well. Easy install and app is user intuitive imo.

Works great for wired Ethernet backhaul.
My house is wired for Ethernet. I searched for a system that worked well with wired backhaul and found some very positive reviews for these units. Because wireless mesh is not needed if you have Ethernet you only need a dual band system. The range and throughput is outstanding, and it solves coverage gaps in my house that I had with the AT&T BGW210-700 gateway and AirTies range extenders. I used 3 units- two in our house and one in our detached garage, and the whole property gets very good coverage now.

It was pretty seemless to install and hook into the main system...
I am pretty tough on my WiFi units as I have quite a list of wireless items running on the WiFi. I eventually went with an Asus ROG system, and it DEFINITELY runs the house of items! So, after trying several other brands who could not stay connected, get connected or handle the amount of items. So, I bit the bullet and spent the coin on these. And, it paid off. I have yet to experience an outage on any of the system, be it the WiFi router itself, or the little assistants listed here. They were an absolute breeze to hook up. The WiFi router app did all of the work. It transferred all of the necessary information to the extenders, verified the setup, and away it went. I am a definite fan of Asus now. These extenders have quite a range as well, as I can be out in the yard on a 1/3 acre, and still be able to connect to the system. My cameras have been undisturbed and fully functional. My appliances are all working as they have been meant to be.

Loses connection!
This router was amazing for 2 of the 6 days that I had it. I had my router and node set up and it was giving me wifi in my garage that’s about 20 feet away. The other days the router and node kept losing connection and I’d have to reset both. I would have to physically move my node from bedroom to my laundry room which only about 15 feet away for the node to reconnect to the router. Read lots of reviews that this was a common issue and people were switching to other routers. I went back to my old router until I find something more reliable.

Solid performance with thick walls
I ordered this equipment for extending our network in a home with very thick, 18-inch adobe walls. The first unit came with a defective pair, so I returned it and received a replacement. I did call customer service for support in setting up the network. The first rep wasn't very helpful, but a second rep was very knowledgeable, though it did take being on the call for 45 minutes. These now work like a charm, extending the network to a bedroom well past three sets of these 18 inch walls, which another router was unable to do. Definitely recommend.

So tired of endless dropouts and bouncing back and forth between accent points
I'm trying to write this through yet another sequence of drop outs and restarts, I've had this for several months and a firmware update and it just isn't improving. The hardware is fine, it's the software 'logic' that keeps disconnecting to nearby AP and reconnecting to one behind several walls. I cannot control it, it just disconnect me and thinks I have a better deal going through several walls. I'm right next to the AP now but with one bar because it automatically reconnects to the lowest signal quality it can find. I have to manually optimize it and hope it finds its place. Then occasionally the entire AP drops out and has to slowly figure out where it belongs and reconnect. I've updated firmware, tried many settings. I'm tech savvy and have done IT for 20 years. Pretty sure it's not me. The software tries to be too clever and in the process, it isn't. This is most disappointing, when it could work and is just overengineered with bad ideas and/or rushed out with bugs.

Best wifi coverage I've had so far.
Installed on on each side of the house and no longer have " dead spots" range is greatly increased and so far so good. The app install was nice to be able to use that to install this as well. Just had to reboot my modem after all was done for it to " see" the new routers.

Quirky, over engineered perhaps
I bought this as a 2 pack of nodes to be able to go between our home and office space. I had numerous issues with dropped Wi-Fi and wasn't able to fix it. I'm not a genius, but I do have a degree in networking and I've assembled enterprise mesh systems in the past with great results. I have a home and office space with 13 devices connected, from phones, laptops, iot devices and such. The main node in my home couldn't even keep my phone connected, which was never a problem with past wifi systems. I'd go to bed and wake up to several random devices with no internet. I tried working with Asus tech support, which offered little to no help. They fed me some canned solutions that covered 5+ models of Asus routers, and their solutions actually made things worse. I updated firmware, tweaked settings according to them and finally gave up and sent them back. I feel like there could've been a fix if Asus actually had some tech knowledge on hand. I'm pretty knowledgeable, but there are many layers and options to these units. With all that said, there are reviews that claim these units work great. Maybe it was a situation in my setup that didn't play well with Wi-Fi 6. We'll never know.

worked great when attaching as new nodes on my existing AsusZenwifi network.

Product works as designed. Had to reset the device to get it to autoconfigure properly, would recommend that to new purchasers. Also, new firmware update was identified with the mobile app. Looks good and works well! Highly recommend.
