These are addictive
My wife bought these in town and they were so good that I ate both bags. Then I bought 4 bags from Amazon and ate two of them in one day. These are dangerous cookies. They are high calorie and go down easy because of their soft center. You gotta be careful with them. Unfortunately all four bags had multiple crushed cookies and I don't know why. The ones from locally had zero crushed cookies. I felt pretty disgusted with myself for pouring cookie remnants in my hand but they tasted every bit as good. Highly recommend but not for sugar addicts.

Definitely fresh... a few were broken
I love these cookies which are hard to find outside of the Christmas holidays when I can find them at W. Market. They came with a few broken...more like a bit crushed from packing I suspect. But will continue to get them here on Amazon...they are fresh and delicious.

1st bag stale but redeemed..reordered and they were delicious
I was gifted a package of these cookies about seven years ago and absolutely fell in love with them. They were some of the most delicious cookies I have ever eaten, and they just melted in my mouth however, these cookies are quite stale. They do not melt in my mouth and they are dry and rather crumbly, I would like to order another bag and give them a second chance but they do not offer a refund or exchange and they were cheaper than others. They were still over eight dollars a bag and that’s a lot to pay for a small bag of cookies and them being stale again. I was extremely disappointed . I decided to give a second chance and the second bag was very good!! Just a fluke on the stake bag and Amazon customer service Gave me a full refund for the stale cookies!!!

Strong Licorice
Very heavy on the anise compared to other brands. Not horrible but probably wouldn't buy again if i had a choice

Condition of product
These cookies arrived totally broken. Ate the broken pieces anyway, but obviously couldn't be used on dessert platter.
