Tankless Water Heater Saved us Hundreds$$$ in first year, more hot water than you can use!
We had this Rheem Tankless Water Heater (Natural Gas) installed a year ago and it is fabulous. Not to waste precious water, but this thing is amazing, set at 120 degrees Fahrenheit, it never never never runs out of hot water for a nice loooooong shower. It is reliable, very compact and we are saving hundreds of dollars a year on gas costs by getting rid of our old 80-gallon tall cylindrical hot water tank. It leaked. This new tank is solid. We bought the style that is installed outside the back garage wall so we saved even more space in the garage/utility room and we saved a couple of hundred bucks on not having to buy the extra interior venting system and install a new vent hole through the roof. The outdoor style is the best!

Excellent product, excellent service replacing a bad pressure release valve
The valves were super easy to install. I'm actually looking forward to performing the maintenance on this heater next year! I had a problem with the 150lb pressure release valve included in the kit. It was spontaneously opening up about 3-4 times per day, only for a few seconds at a time. The amount of water it was releasing was very small, but it made quite the whistling hum each time. I could hear it from anywhere in our house. I thought giving it a few weeks to "settle" in after the install might resolve it, but no such luck. A quick call to Webstone this morning and a replacement pressure relief valve is on its way. This saved me the hassle of uninstalling the whole kit for a return to Amazon. Great customer service and a well built product.

service valves are a must have for tankless water heaters. they make acid flushing easy. See my flush kit details enclosed
If you bought a tankless water heater you must buy these. It is essential to flush your water heater a few times per year. Most bad reviews on tankless water heaters are due to lime build up, and lack of proper maintenance. This kit makes acid flushing your water heater a very simple task. You also need: Superior Pump 91250 1/4 HP Thermoplastic Submersible Utility Pump Whirlpool 8212546RP 4-Foot Black Rubber Washer Hoses, 2-Pack found here on Amazon, as well as a 5 gallon bucket from your hardware store, and a minimum of 2 gallons of vinegar. The pump above will cavitate if you try to get by with one gallon of vinegar. If you find this review helpful, please click the helpful button below.

Great value and better operations than the Rinnai set
Used on new install of Rinnai W/H from Lowes. These valves are: 1- MUCH lower in cost than the rinnai set at Lowes, and 2) MUCH better design because it actually has two handles for the operations on each side (4 handles total) --- the rinnai set has a handle and then a cap like deal that requires moving the handle or getting a tool to use the other part on each side (only 2 handles total). I did not really get the relief valve part and instructions weren't clear on where it is to lead to or advisement on output... so I left it off. I am okay at plumbing and have put in lots of things before, but in this application I was not convinced of the value or need of it for the 'on demand' system anyway since water has to flow through the W/H in order for the W/H to work... unlike a tank system there is never water sitting there containerized and potentially getting too hot in the contained area so that it could potentially 'blow' (kept as spare parts for the plumbing drawer for another job someday- he he). Otherwise good value, strong build, and at least the same quality as the rinnai set is evident.

Works really well and is high quality. Make sure you use plenty of teflon around the connections (6-8 or so), the threading is pretty sharp and several layers of heavy duty teflon had a slight leak. Pretty new to plumbing so maybe this is normal but I usually use 3-4 and I thought I'd mention it in case it saves anyone time.

Very good system
As I wrote in my review for the Rheem Horizontal Vent Termination Kit, I just installed a Rheem tankless water heater. Part of the installation includes the Service Valve Kit, which does not come with the heater. The Valve kit is easy to install and makes it easy to remove the heater in case it has to be repaired. It also makes servicing the heater (recommended once a year) easy.

Shipping took too long-about 12 days, so had to buy local
Had to return these because they took a week longer than the Rinnai tankless, so I had to buy these local from my plumber. I had to pay over $16 dollars in shipping costs, so I was not too happy. I got my refund in a timely fashion, however. The shipping info was all crazy-these parts started out FedEx, but when they got to Sacramento, they had to switch over to USPS, and it took a week longer than the water heater.

Essential For Tankless Water Heaters
Yes, these met my expectations. Bought a tankless propane water heater. If there is any problem with the water heater, the plumbers will need these. This is how they flush the system to diagnose the problem. If it is a new line you are putting in, you very well could have a problem come up your first week of operation. Tip: These SHOULD be sold WITH the tankless water heater. But sometimes they are not. If you bought a tankless water heater and the flush kit is not included, get one asap or buy it at the same time (even if it is not this brand or whatever). The plumbers or installers can put these by or under the tankless heater when they install it initially and flush out the system if needed. I didn't do this. I didn't know. I put up the tankless heater outside my house without these, initially. Then the tankless heater quit working about four days after it was on. Had to overnight these. Plumbers had to come back out and cut out a line to put these on when they could have done it when they did the lines the first time. Turns out there were some small pebbles that got into the line because it was new and the water heater shut down as a safety feature. So yes, get these if you are getting a tankless water heater.
