Perfect to mask off for spraying
I bought this after borrowing some for a friend while working on my jetski. I bought it to tape off my jetski hull to pait it. It worked incredibly well and saved me lots of time not having to tape a bunch of trash bags together and hope I didn't get any spray through the cracks. The tape portion sticks really well and as long as you give some slack it can fit some really weird shapes and angles. I ended up removing the roll from the plastic holder/cutter -- it was too big and just got in the way. A pair of scissors also worked better to cut the tape/bag. Overall this stuff is really exactly what it says it is and works great. I will buy more for future projects, but for now I still have some left over after two jet ski efforts. It's really ideal for any spray paint situation in which you want to keep paint off of everything else. Just avoid using it in the wind for obvious reasons (or tape it down well).

Easy to use.
You dont need a dispenser gun with this. You can easily unroll and apply by hand. The tape adhesion is good, but not so strong that it will rip off paint. The plastic is very thin, and fells whispy but is easy to control and apply. Also, despite how thin it is very strong and does not rip easily. The plastic static clings to the wall or ceiling so you dont need tons of tape to place and keep it down. I was really impressed with the cling and how strong it holds even while using a spray paint gun. Use a razor to cut if you need to as the thin plastic sheet is difficult to cut cleanly with scissors. This is an absolute must have with spray painting!

Wonderful
This is wonderful for more than just painting. I gave 3 stars for adhesion only for the purpose of what I used it for. I'm sure it works well on walls and deserves 5 stars. A family member had bed bugs so I used this. How you may ask? I got a cheap fitted sheet put it on their bed and made sure the plastic was at least 4 inches below the box springs and at least 2 inches above the floor and duct taped the painter plastic around the perimeter of the sheet overlapping the ends just a little, leaving no gaps or hole for the bugs to get through the duct tape and I used boxing tape to close the 2 ends together. I also had them sleep with covers that did not extend over the edge of the mattress. Bed bugs can't climb on plastic so if they cant get to you while your sleeping they can't feed, therefore, they DIE. I also put clear boxing tape around the perimeter of their room so the bugs couldn't climb up to the ceiling and drop down onto their bed. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. No more bites and the bugs were gone within a month.

Excellent sometimes; not other times.
This kind of pre-taped plastic is very handy for painting. I had to spray my house, and this stuff works great to tape to the aluminum soffit and flip over the facia. The static electricity enables it to cling to the surface and that really helps. The big problem I have with the scotch blue tape is that it will not stick to painted surfaces. More specifically, I painted my trim first with white semi gloss latex. The next day, I thought I could just tape this off with scotch blue tape with edge guard but as soon as I got halfway through taping off the garage doors and trim, the blue tape started falling off - there was nothing I could do to get that stuff to stick. The blue tape on this pre-taped plastic is the same. So, scotch needs to do something about that. Just as a side point, I decided to try frog tape. It is about the same price, and it sticks like crazy. Somehow scotch and frog tape need to get together on pre-taped plastic.

Must have for home projects
Incredible. So easy when I’m painting areas I don’t need a whole drop cloth for, stays way more organized than the loose plastic sheets. I don’t know if it’s intentional but there’s a light static cling that keeps the plastic sheets in place on the floor instead of shifting and moving around which was really convenient. I’d pay quite a bit for the convenience this offers, and will be ordering more when I run out. I removed a few hours after painting and found the crispness of lines to be relatively the same as the normal blue tape.

it comes off easily with a slight tug
I will not paint again without this product. It really gets the job done. Yes! It's a bit of a pain at times to secure (the plastic tends to stick to the tape) but that's only if you're not careful. There is a little learning curve and even if the plastic does stick to the tape, it comes off easily with a slight tug. Once I got the hang of it, I applied it quickly and easily and it held fast for the entire three day project duration. I would highly recommend.

Thin plastic with lots of tears
Great idea in theory, but poor execution. First, tape does not adhere to carpet at all (fine, OK, went back and secured to baseboard). Next, the plastic is very, very thin. If using this as floor covering, know you will probably need to add other drop cloth on top. Finally, despite being fresh off the roll, the plastic had tons of tears in it. Had to go back and use blue tape to prevent further tears/ make it useable. If you are covering furniture or something already attached to walls, these might not be problems for you. Personally, I would not buy again.
