This is the loudest musical Tesla coil I have ever heard (and the only one). I didn't scroll down and read the warnings that the seller clearly put on the page. My BAD. My 13 yr old son enjoys using it when it's time to go to sleep, so I have to take it nightly and lock it up. Screaming ensues, ahhhh such joy.

Well made, works fine, amusing little toy. No real assembly other than screwing on the high-voltage emitter.

Works fine, it does the thing, but there is one thing no one talks about with Tesla coils. They are very loud; you should wear hearing protection when using these. I used my decibel meter, and it was over 110 dB, so that can easily cause hearing damage.

Plugged it in, and there was a loud pop from the power supply, followed by a release of smoke indicating violent kinetic failure of an electrolytic capacitor. Couldn't even test the coil. Power supply is also non standard voltage/amperage ratings. Most things like this are going to run 12V at 5 or 10 amps. This one runs 48 volts at 2 amps, so it's neither easily replaceable nor is the coil able to be powered from a standard 0-24V lab grade power supply. 100% do not recommend. For additional salt in the wound, the only return options are to either drive 50 minutes out of my way to a dropoff location, or pay out of pocket for shipping at almost half the item cost.

When I first saw this, I thought it could be used with any music. You can only use it with music on their website. It came with diodes that you can place on it to add colored lights, though the directions DO NOT tell you where to place them and I cant find any place that looks like they belong there. A side from that its gives off a fine scent of ozone from the bolts of lightning. Not worth the money but at best it is a interesting little gimmick for your desk for those that want their own bolt of purple lightning. I gave it 3 stars because of its design. Functionality for music is at best a 2 star.

A year later and my kids are still playing with it

I bought two of these and they are both amazing! The arcs are large, and it’s really fun! But I would recommend to wear earplugs, cause They are loud. Worth the money, conversation ended.

It came defective and doesn’t work and the seller wants ME to pay out of pocket to return. Crazy! Will be opening a chargeback !!
