My kids.. HATE school lunch so they make us make them home made lunches to bring to school. As they are getting older and eating more we made this purchase in preparation for the upcoming start. Recently we did get to use the two we got as we had a beach day and made some stir fry and fried rice to bring with us. The food was still piping hot 4 hours after prep - mind you we got lucky it was perfect beach weather so wasnt a hot day - but we got to have a awesome hot lunch! Will update on how these fair with daily usage but first impressions feels quality , looks great, straight forward uncomplicated cleaning, simple to use (I mean cmon.. screw on lid, screw off lid). Very happy with the purchase!

Openned it up at lunch time and soup was still hot. Holds plenty for my lunch.

I drive luxury buses, SUVs and cars as a chauffeur and there isn't usually a lot of time to stop for lunch or dinner. Using this bowl for meals I make at home means I can avoid paying a lot more for takeout from restaurants, which is exactly the reason I bought one. I considered other approaches, like a portable heating pot that would need to be plugged-in, but that wouldn't have been reliable depending on what I'm driving. So does this bowl do what it says? Yes! Last night I had chicken noodle soup that had to cool off a little before I could eat. The soup went into the bowl at boiling temperature and it was still very hot 5 hours later. Another time, I had rice with chicken and veggies... again, it went in hot and was still hot many hours later. Some reviews mention a problem with leaking and the lid being difficult to secure, but it's easy to deal with. I just make sure the lid is level all the way around the bowl and then tighten down. Maybe if you're in a rush or just not being very careful, it could be a problem, and heat and liquid would escape from the bowl. But it's really not that difficult to secure the lid. So yes, I would recommend the bowl to a friend. I'm considering a second one so I can bring hot and cold food (ice cream, or yogurt and granola, salad, etc) together.

It's the perfect size and exactly what I needed! The only drawback is how tough it is to open. To counter the strong vacuum-sealed steel locking mechanism, run hot water over the lid for 30 seconds or so.

I use this to pack warm sandwiches for my child’s lunch at school. I boil water in a mug in the microwave and then pour it into the container to sit for a few minutes before placing the sandwich in. It stays warm until lunch.

This does not keep food hot like Thermos brand.

i love the wider opening where it’s more like a bowl. That part is exactly what i was looking for. Not sure if it’s just the one I got but it’s VERY hard to open this after you have heated it with boiling water and dumped out to added warm soup and put it back on. My 13 year old son had to have 6 boys try opening it at lunch before they got it open.

This is a great container. Large capacity and it keeps food warm for several hours. Great for school lunch.

This is a great container and I have purchased three of them for each of my children's lunches. What I reallly like is how food can be eaten from these as if the food is being eaten from a bowl, as opposed to having to dig down through a cylindrical chasm to find what's contained!

Good. Just need to buy improve the opening of lid

After purchasing many sub par thermos’s through out the years I was excited to see this thermos. There were not many reviews on this product and I took a chance - I was not dissapointed. I initially purchased one for myself. This thermos does what it is supposed to do: keep food hot or cold for hours and stay closed to prevent leaks and spills. I use it daily for my work lunches - it fits perfectly in a lunch bag. I have used it with soup and solid food. This can hold a good amount of food. It is stylish, easy to open, easy to clean. I like this so much that I have purchased two more for my kids. The only negative was there was only one color to choose from. I would recommend this product.
