good hose
I installed it about 2 weeks ago, after reading negative reviews, I was prepared for the worse. I did as instructed, kept the thermostat sensor next to the water source and plugged both ends, however the middle of the body of the house was lightly still coiled. When I tried, the water was leaking from under the insulation, where connected to the water source, just as I saw it in the negative reviews. Then I remembered, the instruction clearly say, the house must be uncoiled, so I disconnected, and stretched it out completely in a straight line taking out any kinks, then I took the ends and plugged them in the outlet and inlet. Tested it again and NO LEAK, it works perfectly. That night, it was 25F degrees, the hose was warm to the touch and no leak (the pressure in my sink faucet doubled, I suppose my old hose was not as efficient as new one, etc...). So, it works. I must say, that the instructions, indicate that the heating element turns on below 50F degrees, my hose. turns on when it it is below 35F roughly, which is fine.
S**!
Easy install! And seems to work great.
I had to use plier's to get the drip to stop on either end, but once snugged up, the connections seems to work good! The fact that they supplied an adapter and I was able to use either end at the trailer side to hook up power, was a bonus. Product seems of quality.

A company that stands behind its product
I bought one of these hoses at the end of January and it worked great right off the bat. However, fast forward to beginning of this month and the hose itself had failed, leaking water. I was out of Amazon's warranty window, so reached out to Camco directly for guidance on how to get it replaced. Fast forward a week and there's a brand new replacement hose delivered right to my door. Easy communication, fast turnaround and no questions asked (granted, the photos I provided were pretty clear as to the issue). So sure, its not ideal that the first one failed but in a world where it can be difficult to find a reliable brand - I feel very secure working with these guys and they earned my confidence. Hose works great btw. No issues with the connections leaking, water quality, or temperature. This is the one I'd buy again if/when I have to.

Do Not Purchase - Prone to Failure
I run a small RV park in New England with a dozen year-round tiny house rentals, and we’ve stopped buying Camco hoses because they’re overpriced and consistently fail. This hose leaked at the crimp points on both ends right out of the box and then burst at the fitting in under a year—before temperatures even dropped below freezing. Previous Camco hoses have also leaked, and the heating elements have failed mid-winter. Meanwhile, the cheaper “no-name” hoses last longer at half the cost. Disappointing product from a supposedly reliable American brand. SAD

Great idea, but the quality control..
*TLDR, Too Long Didn't Read* Do Not waste your money. Failed right out of box. Leaked at above freezing temps With upstream pressure regulator. Did not test the heating feature due to the hose leaking from under the insulation sleeve somewhere. Very disappointed. Build your own or insulate well. If you do choose to take a gamble with this item then Thoroughly test it as soon as it arrives and take pics/ video. Would share the video but it won't upload correctly, (not too tech savvy), but I know plumbing, mechanical, etc. The long review: Other reviews have mentioned the hose leaking or failing Even with pressure regulators (which we use and replace regularly) - this is factual. Failed on first hookup Before it reached the freezing temps. Please Do Not Buy this sub par constructed item. It's a shame really since we have bought a lot of Camco branded items over the years. Our unit seemed ok out of the box (bought on sale weeks before the cold season and didn't need it til about 6 days after the return window closed). I should have tested as soon as it arrived but Optimistically Trusted with the 'name brand' mindset. Amazon was courteous, but did not do anything for us except refer us to Camco to try to get them to replace the defective hose. Take our hard learned lesson and many others and Do Not buy these products. Either research youtube for making one from scratch yourself or over insulate your water lines/ hoses and set everything to drip during sub freezing temps (mostly applying to full time rvers or camping in colder climates). We bought the 1in diameter 1/2 in thick 6ft foam pipe insulation (about R2 insul value), foil backed fiberglass pipe insulation (R6 insul value), and then waterproofed with an outer sheath of reflectix and zip ties from lowe's and have had no issues down to 18 degrees with lower wind chills (installed on the fresh water hose, pressure regulator, and water in line filter from spigot post to camper and also wrapped the spigot for good measure). Our rig is 4 season/ belly insulation and sheet metal bottom no skirt. **Invest in the two way hose splitter off the spigot, add quick disconnects, then a "Freeze Miser" or similar product** It will automatically open and drip before it reaches freezing temps to prevent the water line from freezing. Easy to unbox, easy to install (like a regular hose), Only After testing for leaking or defects plug into appropriate safe and rated outlet. Not super heavy (25ft). Keeps a semi coiled memory after unboxing but seems to relax and become somewhat flexible. Nice color. Looks quality at first glance (even though several reviewers like us have had defective units).

FIRE HAZARD, ELECTRICAL HAZARD. DO NOT BUY!!!
Do not buy this. It is over priced and far worse quality than the cheap chinese knockoffs. If you want quality, you'll have to build it yourself. Don't buy camco products. The heat wire insulation cracked and split while i was unraveling it for the very first time to use, causing an electrical hazard. Then the hose itself split open and started spraying water everywhere. Actual garbage. I'm pissed that i can't return this. I bought it early in the year in anticipation for the winter. And now that it's winter... i take out of the box for the first time and it's a straight up fire hazard.

A 5 year sentence
I’ve had this hose for 5yrs and it just sprang a leak and now I need to replace it lol. I’d say that’s pretty damn good for a hose that gets constant daily use. When the weather gets into the sub zeros it does freeze up, even with added heat tape and foam insulation around it all buried about half a foot underground. All in all, even with the freezing I’d say it was a great hose, very durable, not too stiff but a durable firmness, it connected very easily and with the thread tape on it never leaked.

This heated RV drinking water hose worked perfectly for almost two years – no leaks and kept the water flowing even in very cold weather. One time we lost power during a freeze, and the hose froze solid. So I recommend using a backup power source (UPS or generator) to keep the hose heating in case of power outages. Overall, a great product!

Excellent heated hose for whatever you may need it for. We got this brand for our RV doing extended stays over winter on recommendation of a couple people. Having the switchable ends makes it more convenient to connect close to the power supply without running extension cords all over. Very rugged. They're not inexpensive but not cheap either. Compared to the cost of freezing up in your RV, it's not that bad.

Needed for camping in the South during cold weather. It kept my water from freezing overnite. In addition, if using for rv'ing you will need something to cover the connection at the rv (used a portion of a pool noodle). We also used a heat tape to wrap the water tap and water pressure regulator. Good quality hose and keeps incoming water from freezing.

As described, came in on time. Didn’t work for our application because of length. Returned and ordered larger one

Had the water freeze on us this year and it wasn't even the hose it was the water service in the ground. Very good hose first season with it and so far staying in very good shape and works very well. Does not consume much power at all
