D'Addario ENR71-5 Half Round 5-String Bass Guitar Strings, Regular Light, 45-130, Long Scale

These are by far the worst strings I ever had. The tone is beyond disappointing. Dull, lifeless. Sustain is a joke. I’m going back to flats as soon as possible. Never again.

Compré estas cuerdas D'Addario del tipo "half-round" porque me gustan los tonos suaves, y las "half-round" te dan la suavidad de las "flatwounds" mezclado con el brillo de las "roundwounds". Ya instaladas en mi bajo eléctrico, las cuerdas se hicieron notar de inmediato. Son muy cómodas para tocar, los dedos se deslizan mucho más fácil que con las "roundwounds" y produce unos tonos suaves pero con mucho cuerpo. Mi bajo es de 5 cuerdas y la cuerda que mejor tono tiene para mi gusto es la "B" pues tiene un tono profundo con muchísimo cuerpo y que hace que todo retumbe, sin perder un gramo de control en el tono. La verdad recomiendo mucho estas cuerdas a pesar del precio que es alto para el estándar de cuerdas. Espero duren mucho porque es un placer tocar con ellas.

D'Addario ENR71-5 Half Round 5-String Bass - I purchased these because 1) Local shops didn't have the 5 string packs, they would sell me 4 with a 5th separate string and charge a fortune for the 1 string. Thankfully I was able to find the 5 string pack on Amazon! I bought these for my 5 string fretless, I was debating to get these or go for the full flats. I don't like the feel of the flats myself, so these fit the bill perfectly! They have the nice 'thump' of flats, while at the same time remaining bright and feel closer to round wounds. They have a nice grip to them, some people don't like that, but I do! I will buy these again and again!

Ich bekomme immer die Krise, dass auf neuen Bässen - auch bei Markenprodukten - scheinbar immer an den Saiten gespart wird (z. B. normale Saiten auf fretless Bässen - geht gar nicht). Ausserdem liebe ich warmen weichen Sound. Also auch bei neuen Instrumenten immer die Saiten runter und D'Addario drauf

Which is what I was looking for, nice tonal balance, very good low B, exceptionally well made and packaged. Would have given a 5..... but they are a wee bit harsh to play for a half-round! Not a problem for my fingers, but I put them on a fretless which i think may suffer fretboard wear not too disimilar to using full roundwounds....only time will tell!
