Both of Tom's Book's have save spending money on parts that are not period correct and helped me gain the knowledge that I did not have before. Tom has been to helpful with guiding me in the right direction for the Thompson Submachine Gun Enthusiast. You will need to buy his other book "An Amateur's Guide for the Colt's Thompson Submachine Gun" to round out the collection of the books needed to make you sucussful and knowledgeable about your Thompson experience as well as purchasing a 1921. Thanks Tom!! Great books! I can not wait for the next one.

For an iconic firearm like the Thompson that is now over 100 years old, it's amazing that more interesting information can still be found. Mr. Davis' research takes new avenues down paths of some of the little known commercial sales as well as postwar deactivated guns eventual status. Finely detailed color photos and explanations cover each topic. A great "Compendium."
