Amazing Robotic Vacuum
First time owning anything like this. We are very impressed with the Viomi V3 Max. It easily maps out the entire house first (2,500 sq ft.) This took a little while but well worth the time. It designates each room a number, which then you can merge, split and rename each room, pretty cool. You can manage which room or multiple rooms or area you want vacuumed. You can create areas that you don’t want vacuumed, such as where you have cords or tight areas. So many great features. I also found the levels of suction and battery life very impressive. Well worth the investment and a tremendous back saver, as it does the work.

Manufacturer help sucks
Edit: This edit is after ordering two of these two vacuums on August 4th and I have been having issues with one of the vacuums since the beginning of November. The manufacturer warranty is garbage. Spreetail gave me a number for contact and it says it is not in service. They tried to give me an email but there is no one to email. I TRIED to go to VIOMI's mai website for help and that is USELESS. Considering I payed over $200 per vacuum and I can't even get help with the MANUFACTURER WARRANTY is garbage. Spreetail won't help because it is outside of their 30day window. I didn't pay for an extra warranty (2 or 3 year) which wouldn't have helped anyway because I am still within the 1 YEAR MANUFACTURER WARRANTY I am still screwed. So I am lowering my rating to a 1 star. If I cannot get help on an issue that SHOULD be covered with the manufacturer warranty I am going to tell you not to bother with this product because there is no point if the manufacturer won't stand by it's own warranty. I don't buying the extended warranty would have helped me because we are still WITHIN the year MANUFACTURER warranty and cannot get any help or resolution. So just don't waste your money or time buying if you can't get any help outside your 30day Spreetail Warranty and within your manufacturer warranty. Too much money to be wasted for no help or resolution. Original: I would like to start of with saying that the seller for this product is wonderful. There was a mixup when our order was originally shipped. We ordered two of these - one for our main floor and one for our master bedroom in our cape cod. Only one was shipped and delivered, but we contacted the seller and they responded quickly. They immediately sent our second vacuum and received the next day. The vacuum itself is wonderful. It was easy to set up and edit the rooms after the first initial vacuum cycle. I have multiple schedules for our first Floor vacuum due to different wake up schedules and my hybrid work schedule. The ease of setting these along with specific rooms, and cleaning level is awesome. A couple people have mentioned that it leaks when the water tank is loaded, I haven't had this issue at all. I do plan on getting the water proof mat at some point though just in case. I also like how the mop pad is attached to this vac. Some others the mop pad is always on the item attached with sticky pads or something. I like how this has a nice plastic attachment that clicks into place, and how the pads slide on and velcro to the plastic attachment. It makes it very convenient. It does comes with 2 reusable microfiber mop pads and 10 disposable mop pads, which is fantastic. The no mop, no go, and virtual wall areas you can place within the map are very nice as well. These are simple to set up and stay in place until you remove or edit them. I REALLY like this feature, it is just great. The mapping for this machine is awesome, and so are the censors. It finds its way around our house no problem when needing to go to specific rooms and returns to the base no problem. We had a different robot vac that was less expensive but it didn't map and the censors were garbage. It was haphazard how it went around and cleaned, and bumped into things so hard it would have things falling from tables or topple furniture over. So, this one being more expensive was totally worth the headache free mapping and more in depth cleaning. We also have a shag area rug in our bedroom, that it is easily able to vacuum. I haven't had an issue with it getting stuck or not cleaning well enough. The rug is in front of our automatic litter box and it is able to suck up the litter from the rug and hardwood no problem. I would also like to point out that I have this run 2 regular vacuum appointments each day, and then a vac+mop at the end of the day. The amount of hair and debris it picks up every time is astounding. We have a large lap mix, poodle, and long hair cat. So the amount of hair and dander it picks up is awesome. I also like that the app notifies you if the vac does get stuck and when it has finished its cleaning. Just a nice feature. The people who said it is hard to find replacement filters or mop pads or any replacement parts - I don't know what they are talking about. Just search Viomi V3 Max Accessories in Amazon search bar, and you can easily find it all. I have those all saved to a wish list for purchase later. You can also purchase them straight from Viomi's website.

Best purchase I’ve made in a long time
I spent weeks researching robot vacuums and decided on the Viomi v3 max. The price was reasonable and it offered vacuum and mop functions. It was relatively easy to set up and I am not very tech-savvy. I run the vacuum 2-3 times a week - usually while I’m at work or running errands or when I go to bed. It is such a timesaver! I’m no longer sweeping up dirt and dog hair everyday. I run the mop about once a week. It does a decent job - doesn’t do a deep clean/scrub but good enough to clean up minor spills and just freshen up the downstairs. I highly recommend this robot vacuum!

Room Mapping & Flexibility Makes This a Winner.
Device seems to be working well - have yet to try mopping feature (word on the street is to use distilled water). Love the LiDAR mapping feature. I've played a bit with the automation feature with specific room selection and I think it will work as desired. Battery life is shorter than advertised - but I'm certain this is because the max battery life quoted is on the lowest suction setting. I will test this later & I'll bet it is engineering specsmanship. That said, "Rosie" (call out to the robot maid on "The Jetsons") will make her way back to the charging station, and finish where she left off when recharged - all 'hands-off' on my part. Have done both weekly automated cleaning of the entire home, and one-time single room cleaning - both work well. As with every Ap, you need do a bit of trial and error to navigate to where things are located. That said, once created, the automations remain is a list with 'on/off sliders' for convenient reuse Would have given it a 5, but initial 'fighting' with the Ap/sign-up was a bit frustrating. Day-to-Day use with the Ap is fine.

Love this so far!!
I got this vacuum/mop combo a few days ago and I freaking love it! We had an old deebot but it always got stuck on this one shag rug so we had to always throw pillows down to keep it from going on and getting stuck. It would also move around aimlessly which was very inefficient. Benefits of this one: - The radar system is so cool and it maps your whole house and you can set zones (like the shag rug) to not go onto so it never gets stuck. - It knows when it's on carpet and increases the power of suction, so cool. how does it even know what surface it's on - it mops too!! so cool. The floor is so much cleaner. I now have the robot automatically vacuum each night and then every 3 days run the mopping. Wish the water tank was a bit bigger, but whatever. All in all very very happy with the purchase so far. Will update if I become unsatisfied. Honestly for the price (there was a significant coupon at the time of purchase), I am beyond impressed. I would not expect all of the features from something at this price point.

Maps maps maps
Viomi is the lowest brand in the Xiaomi robot vacuum line and as such, some features on the Xiaomi app aren't available and the build quality is lower than the others. I don't think it even worth the 200$ The biggest drawback is that the Maps are overwritten when using manual cleaning or on different floors/areas. This is terrible! you loose the map. There's no option to backup maps. You need to let it run a vacuuming cycle again for the whole area in order to scan all the rooms and configure everything from scratch, areas, rooms, schedule, scenes. Had to do it twice already within the few months i have it. 👎 I would expect the robot to identify automatically in which area-map he is and vacuum/mop accordingly. taking the base to each floor/area map and set the area map as current is annoying. Doesn't vacuum or mop well along the walls, edges. Doesn't do corners at all. It tangle with cables, socks and such very easily and get stuck. The side brush spins at all times, even when only mopping or when returning to base, not smart and useless. For some reason the actual Y mopping isn't as on the commercial Viomi video. Its less intense as on the video. I think a vibrated pad with pressure levels would be a better implementation. There should be a round mopping pad instead of the extra side brush, "side mop" (idea free of charge). That way it will mop beter along the wall..I guess i'll make one out of the current side brush whenever it will fail. If only the Neato xv firmware 3.xx didn't ruined it, I would've use it forever, even that it doesn't have a side brush or an app.

Great vacuum, map function hard at first…
This is close to losing a five star review, if it weren’t for the combination of the radar, and the mapping function. For the first few weeks of the vacuum, it was very hard to get this device to figure out which room was which. When it would be confused, it would start over and delete the previous map. Of course starting all over it would have to do a completely new map, and this is very frustrating. I finally moved the charging base to a new area, and this seemed to help. So at first you might have to play around with where you put the vacuum and the charging base. After that you can establish your rooms and your no go zones. Then it’s easy to sit back, press spot clean, area clean and then go. Perhaps in the future, they will update their software to make this easier. The photo shows one area, with a go zone as I call it. Red zone, no go zones, red bars are fences, and the location of the vacuum/charging station. Red boxes I used for furniture or just to block an area. Blue, is a go area.

This is NOT the one to buy
Update - I've had this unit for five months and recently moved it to my second floor, It took five tries to get it to generate a map of the floor because it constantly is saying the brush is tangled (there was nothing in the brush at all) and now give me error messages about being stuck 15-20 times during the cleaning. Each time all I do is click OK and resume and it starts up again so obviously it isn't really stuck. I've tried contacting the manufacturer twice and haven't gotten a response. I'm beyond disappointed in how badly this is now performing after only five months. This is the best! I had a Neato for 2 years and it was great but battery gave out. Wanted more features at less money. I bought two other robots that were awful and then tried this one. It cleaned my upstairs in 1 hour (1st time around while mapping) and still had 60% battery life left. It methodically went around and did the outside edges of each room and then did the interior. It's a little louder than the other two I tried but they were not as thorough and one of them only vacuumed for 30 minutes before having to go back and recharge. This also shows a map while it's cleaning so you can tell what's done and where the vacuum is. Overall very impressed. Haven't used the mopping feature since entire upstairs is carpeted except baths. Am going to try it on the main level of the house and will probably use the mopping feature.
