Excellent and lightweight
Nice umbrella. Wood construction is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable to hold. The umbrella itself is large enough for an adult to comfortably stand under it during a downpour, and it's very lightweight so carrying it around all day isn't a chore.

A Classic Umbrella
Now that I have it it's stopped raining! It's is a classic vented umbrella at a reasonable price. It pops open at the touch of the button, has a wooden shaft, and a comfortable handle. Very light weight, which I like, I have a couple of others and they weigh a lot more and if you are juggling a purse and a bag or two of shopping you'll appreciate that it is light. It is a good serviceable umbrella that won't break the bank.

Good but..
Giving This umbrella 4 stars because it is really good and sturdy and keeps you dry. However the very first day that I took it out to use, I went to close it by pressing the handle against my waist and the wooden handle snapped off like butter. I had my husband nail it back together and it was fixed then the next time I took it out, same thing happened. I still use it without the handle but it makes my arm tired. Anyways, good umbrella but that seems to be the only downside.

Looks old fashioned but has the modern self opening mechanism!
It is a large, sturdy umbrella. It works perfectly when I take my puppy out while it is raining. Last time I used it we had a hurricane coming through and it even withstood the heavier gusts of wind! I am pleased with my purchase.

I Like It.
I have always thought umbrellas made of metal were ridiculous. Seriously, you are outside and it’s thundering and lightening and people are walking around with a metal pole….Cray, cray! This umbrella has a wooden shaft and it is engineered to not overturn in high wind. The wooden handle is nice. And it looks expensive. He only complaint I have is the strapped holder is poorly designed because the weight of the umbrella doesn’t allow it to stay on the back when it’s carried.

Classy with a great dome!
Most umbrellas have a low dome & lack headroom - which seems like an obvious must-have in umbrella design - assuming you want to stay dry & see where you’re walking. It’s wide without being too wide. The long hooked handle makes it a convenient & comfortable hold.I was shopping for a sun umbrella when I discovered these. I highly recommend.

Not bad umbrella, but better are out there....
To be fair I'm a snob when it comes to quality. The first bullet point in the Amaz ad is "Quality" and that is what sold me. Well the quality of the fabric seems pretty standard and what you would expect. The main part of any umbrella though is the pole. The wood pole is not as sturdy as one expects; seems very dainty. Also the handle discolored and scratched after just a few normal uses. I'm contemplating doing a mod with a leather grip to protect the handle. However just the other day as I was closing the umbrella, wrapping the fabric back up (which has to be done with a twist motion) I heard a crack as if I just snapped something. I inspected but couldn't find anything. I wouldn't be surprised if the handle comes off at some point. One tip; when closing the umbrella I would recommend grabbing the thicker part of the collar as indicated on the pick. When you grab it from the lower part with the slot, the mechanism doesn't always catch to lock it in place. But when using the thicker part, it catches every time.As I say, for the $20 +/- it's ok. I would have praised the value up and down if the quality was slightly higher on the wood. I'll keep ya posted on how long it lasts.
