This "bag" is not only waterproof, but also airtight. I had to stack books on top of it to get the air out before closing. The silicone is thick and the closure very secure. It should last forever. This is just what I needed, and I'm surprised it is so hard to find. If you have a fireproof safe you still need to worry about water in case of a flood because any safe that is bolted to the floor is not waterproof due to that hole in the bottom for the bolt (and it is a rare safe that is waterproof even without the bolt). Something like Ziploc bags are one option, but if it is just a fire it may still get quite hot in the safe and you don't want plastic melting around your documents. Admittedly, I don't know if that thin plastic melts before paper burns, but don't want to take the risk. So, this waterproof, heat resistant bag is the answer. I just wish they made smaller sizes as documents are just a tiny, tiny bit of what is in our safe. This one will roll up just fine with folded documents only taking up the very bottom of the bag, but that excess silicone is just inconvenient and takes up valuable space in the safe. Just to remind you, silicone has a tacky feel. That is the nature of the beast. I wrap our bag in a very thin cotton fabric so it can slide in and out of the safe without pulling other things out.

Easy to open and close. Thick and sturdy. I store paper docs and paper folders in it. Easily accepts the paper folders that are larger than letter size docs. I have this inside a fire & waterproof bag, for extra waterproof protection.

Do you live in a place that has issues with bugs? Afraid of something getting wet or burning up? Well, this could help with that. Admittedly I'm not going to test its fire resistance, but others have tested it as far as water goes with success. As far as bugs go, this looks like this is thick enough to pose a reasonable barrier to most bugs as long as you seal it properly. I personally got this to protect a work laptop, as I didn't want to be responsible for replacing it. It ended up being a little too big for it, but that actually worked out well since it was mildly difficult getting it into the bag since the thick silicone makes it more difficult to stretch out. To be honest, I'd rather have safety and a little difficulty than no difficulty and the case not being able to protect my device. I think I have enough room to add in some work related items that won't take up much space or harm the device, so that's a win in that area as well.

I purchased this silicone bag to keep our boat registration and boat equipment manuals dry while stored on the boat. It is large enough to hold a 1 inch -3 ring binder with room to spare. Although the silicone does not allow the binder smooth access in and out as it clings to the binder, it keeps all contents dry as described. Easy to open and to close. Definitely pleased with this purchase and plan to buy more. I think it would be great for wet swimsuits and water shoes, to transport home. Also to keep snacks from getting wet in the cooler.

I bought this waterproof bag to protect documents from moisture when I store them in a safe. The safe manufacturer recommends opening the safe 1x/week for 30 minutes to release moisture. I figure with my documents in this bag along with a desiccant pack I won’t have to do this weekly chore. This bag’s dimensions are a bit larger than the space available in the safe, but its silicone material is flexible enough to easily bend to fit.

Was able to fit my Masters degree and the hard folder it comes with along with my B.A., H.S. Diploma, and several other papers I want to keep protected. It does have a little bit of stretch after you get it through the opening, so if it needs to expand to encompass more papers it can on a limited basis. Only problem is I have a dog that sheds like crazy and if I have this out for any length of time the dog hair in the general area from my dog just living her life clings to it. Dust too. Try to keep things clean but the material can be a bit annoying to clean. So far seems pretty durable for general wear and tear with opening and closing it. There’s no zipper, it kind of squeezes shut to seal it. Worth the money to protect documents and fairly inexpensive. The squeeze to shut design and material is kind of annoying but I don’t find myself needing in it often enough to care.

Yes, it is a large bag made of silicone. But everything else is off. — It is not a clear bag, at all - it’s completely opaque. — Shape is also off. Picture makes it look like a large ziploc or a folio size - that you could carry some papers in, but this had much more depth - It’s about as deep as a shoebox. — It is not like the teal color in the product image either. It is an unattractive light blue. I kept it because I needed a bag and I am trying to avoid plastic - and this isn’t plastic. But I would not buy another one.

We purchased this along with a fireproof case to protect our important documents. It's a little unwieldy at first but once it relaxes, it's great. Haven't tested it, but it appears it will work as described.

I bought this bag because I travel a lot for work and my last hotel room had bed bugs. I didn't bring any home because I used plastic bags but wanted a better solution. I found this bag and thought I would need at least two or three to fit all of my clothes. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it holds a lot (4 days of clothing), and because of the waterproof seal it acts like a compression bag. The only flaws are 1) the color (wish it was transparent so I could see my things); 2) as with all silicone things it picks up all dirt and cat hair and 3) its quite expensive . These aren't game changers for me as the bag works great and the company warranties against damage for a year if you register. I'm going to get another for my laptop and shoes.

Highly innovative design and concept. The peace of mind you get when you know your documents are protected is incomparable. I bought it based off of reviews. I bought it keeping in mind another purpose. I have a bag that had some bed bugs on it before, after cleaning the bag I’m just frantic that there maybe 1 bed bug that I missed or didn’t see, so if I have my things in a protected bag, then I can have some peace of mind.
