Outraged

I loved this book. It’s a witty, insightful and at times self deprecating look at online behaviour. I teach Social Work students in HE and am going to use the book in my teaching this year - it gives clear voice to a lot of what I was trying to articulate in my own head. The exploration of power and how this leads to siloes of outrage that actually hinder change and drive division is brilliant. A must read at the historical moment. Buy it!!

On point. Says exactly what I’ve been feeling about digital outrage but was too scared to say and she nails it. Dotty has an engaging and chatty writing style and the book is well researched. A must read. Looking forward to more from the author.

Funny, compelling and incredibly current. So many well researched references that encourage you to continue learning as well as laughing! A brilliant look into how we use social media and how outraged can be misplaced. Every bookshelf should have a copy!

Absolutely wonderful analysis of today's outrage culture. The book helps paint a complex picture on the topic that encourages independent thinking and concrete action rather than jumping on the bandwagon simply to be on the moral high ground. The writing style is in touch and feels personal to the reader and definitely helped me understand some of the frustrations in my life. Definitely worth the read.

Funny, provocative and honest. Given the current climate the timing of this book couldn’t have been any better. If you’re looking for something to make you laugh while questioning your own behaviours/habits with regards to Morden day outrage this is the book for you.
