So, a friend of mine told me to go with this brand for making resin . The epoxy isn’t bubble free by no means, the instructions are somewhat simple to understand. It’s more of just doing it and figuring out how much of the mix you’re going to need for each mold. The sphere is a bad design, half way filling up it popped open and resin went all over the counter& floor.. wasn’t too happy , I had that thing sealed shut and it still popped open.. the other molds worked great! Everything turned out nice, minus having a ton of bubbles in everything . Since buying the kit, I have purchased more of the resin, stir for 5 mins and let sit for 5 mins and still bubbles, so it may say bubble free on the label, however I can assure you it’s not. Even my friend that’s been using this brand for a long time , says it’s not bubble free lol Aside from that and the sphere , it’s a good starter kit and gives you an idea of what this hobby is really like. Price is great! Good way to explore how to resin a few pieces.

As a set it’s fine overall. A few molds, some glitter, small bottles of 1:1 epoxy, some gloves and mixing items. However the directions for use are overly simplified. I’m glad I watched several videos and read up before use. The price isn’t bad. It’s a small starter kit but again I think the instructions for use needs to be more than a little foldout pamphlet. Also safety issues should be noted in that pamphlet and are glossed over. Resin is toxic. Gloves aren’t just recommended they are required and you also should have a respirator for use as well due to the fumes it produces while curing.

This is a really good value starter set for anyone interested in working with Epoxy Resin. You do get almost everything you need to give this craft a try. I would recommend adding a silicone mat to work on and some silicone mixing cups as the ones included are a rigid plastic and very difficult to clean. Comes with a comprehensive instruction leaflet that covers the Personal Protective Equipment you will need for safe working. This is important as epoxy resin is toxic in it's uncured form. I got this kit primarily for the range of included moulds. They are all made from a high quality silicone and the variety of shapes is good. The sizes are relatively small but they are the ideal size for making paperweights with. They all have stabilised bases so pouring is simple as the moulds hold themselves up. Turn out really easily as well and give a crisp, glossy finish to the cured resin. The resin itself is a 1:1 by volume mix. Mixes by hand in around 3-5 minutes, I always mix for 5. Took mica pigments, resin pigments and inclusions really nicely (the attached images show use with translucent resin pigments). Cures nice and crystal clear. I also noticed that once poured it does seem really good at pushing air bubbles to the top of the mould so you can remove them. Also comes with a small palette of mica powder pigments and some dried florals.
