Nice material and construction

I feel like they really overstuff the pillows to give you bang for your buck but then have to under stuff the bigger mats (because shipping weight) so if you buy one of each, you can throw some buckwheat from the pillow into the zabuton and even it all out.

22x22? Would work either for short people or as a large support cushion. Did not fit me and I'm not that tall. My current zabuton is 29x31, just about right. Most zabs. are around those dimensions as well. Well-made; no complaints there.

When this first showed up I was somewhat worried it wouldn't fit my sitting posture. I'm five foot ten but my knees couldn't come to a rest on the mat as I'm accustomed to place them from prior practice. Ultimately, I should have paid more attention to the dimensions and pictures, but I leave this as my honest impression. Sitting on it flat, however, was surprisingly comfortable. The cushion provides enough support that I don't feel undue strain on my knees as the shins are posted nicely in place by the contours my by getting into seated position. My Zafu pillow (the smaller one to place on top) arrived today so I could try it out in earnest. It was a little larger than I expects, and on top of the small mat, I had to place my pillow near the back, which is not what I had in mind. Luckily this was an extremely comfortable position, so while I may have to adjust myself to the middle when I sit on this mat, it's an acceptable hassle. If it was just a bit wider, it would be an easy five stars, and I think it's more on me as a consumer for not knowing to get a larger size. Still! haha

I was skeptical about what I would be actually receiving because the reviews said "bean bag" and the picture looks like a thin square hard pad. Well, "bean bag" won! I was overjoyed to receive what I did. It is very thick and full of buckwheat hulls. It sounds and acts just like a bean bag but has a bit more solid hardness when you settle in than one of those old fashioned bean bags. So far I have enjoyed sitting on this cushion and I love the sound of the hulls moving around, it brings me back to my childhood!

I liked how thick it was for added support for sit bones and ankles. Really helps me in my meditation practice! Arrived quickly and is very durable.

Soft n easy to mold whatever position your in.

I bought this specifically because it was well-priced, had an inner bag with the buckwheat hulls in it that is separate from the outer cover, and is made of natural materials in a color I wanted. The inner/outer cover is a big deal for me because with pets you just know it's going to get used when you are not looking... Sure enough in under a week my cat adopted it as a new bed when I'm not using it so it already needs a run through the wash. I am not scared to drop it in the wash either as the stitches and material look solid. It came perfectly comfy. It has just the right amount of fill to squish around a little and not be a brick or sink to the floor either. I loved beanbags as a kid, and I can't stand uncomfortable things to sit/lay on... this is veeeery comfy-- and coming from someone who is a long-legged 5'6" and 150 lbs so basically as average as you can get. I would definitely buy a second one if I ever had a reason to do so.

I had to add more buckwheat, to make it comfortable. This definitely did not come full enough. Also, it was overpriced, for being only half-full. I use it daily, since I sit on the floor. Very comfortable since I filled it more.
