Waytronic Phone Recorder Bluetooth Call Voice Recording Headset Skype Facebook Whatsapp Video Audio Recording only for iPhone (3.5 mm Plug)

This was my third Waytronic call recorder. The first two were wireless and worked just fine, but after a couple of years of use they eventually fail and have to be replaced. This is the corded call recorder, although it still uses Bluetooth for pairing in order to be able to be used with their app. The previous wireless models didn't have an app. Since I've already used Waytronic call recorders for at least 4 years, you would think I am very familiar with their operation. Not this one. 1. I first plugged the recorder to be fully charged before connecting it to my iPhone. The manual says when it charges there is a blue light and when it's fully charged the blue light is off. After charging it continuously for 12 hours, the blue light is still on. 2. While it was charging, the device was in "pairing mode", but as soon as I disconnected the charge cable, the device became inoperable. 3. I reconnected the charging cable and was able to pair it with my iPhone and the app recognized it, but as soon as I disconnected the charging cable, the recorder disconnected from both my iPhone and the app. 4. The recorder is equally inoperable whether it is plugged in or not - none of the buttons are doing what they are supposed to be doing and there is no voice prompt either - basically this recorder is a dead brick on arrival. I'm very disappointed with Waytronic, especially since this is supposed to be a more advanced model than the previous ones I've had, yet it behaves only like a wireless earbuds (only while charging) and the recording/play functions do not work. I was a huge supporter of Waytronic, but at this point I CANNOT recommend their recorders at all until they fix it.

Easy to use and exactly what I was after. Saves to phone and you can send recording through txt to save as well. MUST use with IPhone as stated. App ONLY available in AppStore for now. Very pleased so far!

I don't really have much to say, they failed at their one job. I followed the instructions to the letter, I called a few people (letting them know I was trying this device) and the results in recordings were mixed at best, bit never good enough to get anything worth ANY value. I genuinely wanted these to work, since so much of my work and mental state rely on being able to recall on facts of points in a phone call... this was a catastrophic failure and was unable to perform at a most pivotal moment when I needed them most. 0/5 stars would be generous.

Terrible directions. Shady Chinese text. Weird download. It is so surprising that these guys will create a product and not invest in a decent translation. I have them a star but I wish I didn’t even have to do that
