Good sound for a small speaker, 4 inch. I use a good integrated amp

Very pleased with the sound of these speakers. They were my first bookshelf sized passives. Paired with a quality, modest amp and a small, precise sub and you've got everything you need to upset your roommates. I'm not a audiophile, so I can't get get into ranges, waves, and whatnot. However, as someone who does notice and appreciate quality sound, I'd say these sound even a little better than their price point.

Great speakers, definitely one of the best options in this price range. I bought these and the 5.25” versions for desk use. The 5.25” had a deeper bass response and sounded slightly fuller, but were slightly too big for my desk. Be aware that both speakers are rear-ported. If you plan to use these on a desk or very close to a wall, you may have issues with muddiness or “boomy” bass. Lower frequencies get amplified with rear-ported speakers the closer they are to the wall, so for my case I had to scoot them forward quite a bit. I also had issues with lower frequencies vibrating my desk, but a set of speaker stands helped this issue significantly. Kanto sells the S4 stands on Amazon which fit these speakers perfectly. Overall, great option for the price range. I would stray away from active speakers and go the passive route for ease of upgradability and longevity.

These puppies have some thump to them. For 200 dollars you can’t beat the price to performance. You will need an amp to get the most out of them. Highly recommended for any audiophile enthusiast!

These Kantos are paired with my loxjie a30 dac/amp for my computer setup. I needed speakers on the smaller size and these fit my situation. Considering the small 4in driver size, the bass quality and quantity fits my needs as I wanted a fairly neutral balance. I even eq'd the bass down a bit. These probably would be ok in a larger room setup, but I would go for the larger versions in that case. They are not overly bright which is what I also wanted. The loss of a star rating comes from the fit/finish. I got the white finish and fresh out of the box, there were "smudges" on the finish, almost like fingerprint marks. Also on the bottom of both speakers, the finish looks marred like they were installed on some sort of stand. I questioned if they were used, but overall the blemishes were minor and they sound fine, so I will be keeping them.

These passive speakers deliver big, rich sound despite their compact size. The audio is robust and well-balanced, with impressive clarity across the highs, mids, and lows. I was looking for better/newer desktop speakers for my 200K FLAC library with about $200 budget. I first tried Neumi BS5. It sounded good but after 2-3 weeks, I could hear crackling sound on high frequency strings, so I returned it for Micca RB42 since many recommend it. I loved its bass but its high frequency was not bright enough for me. Next, I tried Klipsch Promedia THX 2.1 but its high was way too bright and shallow. Finally, I decided to try Kanto YU4 Passive. I was not sure with it because there were not enough reviews online. Well well, its sound was just perfect to me. Clear and bright high/mid and sounded very rich. Good enough bass for many genres except for EDM/hiphop. Currently, I am using Kanto YU4 passive with Aiyima A07 pro amp and Yamaha yst-sw215 sub on my desktop and I love it!

These are fantastic little speakers. We wanted something for our record player and receiver that were clean looking, small, passive, and most importantly, sounded great. These speakers delivered on all of that. They sound wonderful, they are the most minimal and clean speakers I’ve seen, and they work great as passive bookshelf speakers. I would highly recommend them, especially at this price. We also bought the stands and those are VERY well engineered and look fantastic too. I highly recommend this product.

Dienen bei uns zusammen mit einem DAC und dem Fosi Audio V3 Verstärker als Computer-Boxen. Dafür sind sie eigentlich schon fast zu schade, aber da wir über den Computer nicht nur Musik, sondern auch fernsehen sind die Boxen eine extrem gute Investition gewesen. Wir haben sie im Angebot für deutlich unter 200€ gekauft und die Anschaffung zu keinem Zeitpunkt bereut. Die Boxen haben im Zusammenspiel mit unserem Verstärker klare und detaillierte Höhen und Mitten (und keine übertrieben klingenden hohen Details) und für die kompakte Form einen bemerkenswert ordentlichen Bass. Dazu sehen sie mit ihrem minimalistischen Design gut aus und passen sich wunderbar unser restlichen Einrichtung an.

I've paired these with a Fosi Audio DA2120C amp and with a bit of bass and treble adjustment these things sound amazing! It's actually remarkable how much bass you can pump out with the right EQ and audio settings (still paired it with a Kanto Sub though for that lower-end rumble). Opted for them in white, but it's more of a matte white than glossy. I prefer the gloss and overall heft and feel of my Audio Engine P4's, but these sound better. Seeing as I got these for half the price, I'm quite happy.

These speakers are near perfect for those who are sick of hearing music on tinny computer speakers or fed up with wearing Bluetooth headphones to listen to music. I have mine plugged into an Audioengine N22 mini amplifier collecting dust in a cupboard. I love having good quality sound as it takes me back to my youth when HiFi's were a thing we appreciated. I use Media Monkey to create playlists from my mp3s rather than burn my cash on subscription services. I still buy my music from iTunes or rip them from my old CD collection. I'm happy to support a local company in BC, Canada that makes these speakers. Well done!
