Chateau Christmas

I enjoyed watching this having borrowed it from the library. Speaks well of a film when you’ve seen it and decide to purchase it. Great cast, wonderful score.

I am not sure where the setting is supposed to be. The opening scenes seem to be set in NYC at Christmas, but the vast majority of the film appears to unfold at the famous ski chateau-style hotel at Mt. Whistler in British Columbia. The scenery is great, the story is warm, the music is unusually good, and the lead actors are both super. The relationship between them is fun to watch being rekindled after an absence of at least a decade or more of having once performed classical music as partners in their younger careers. Merritt Patterson is wonderful. The secondary story of a classical strings quartet of more senior musicians also adds a nice dimension to the overall plot. The classical music is so good that Hallmark should offer it on a CD set apart from the lovely film itself. This is definitely a keeper.

Hallmark does a wonderful movie making but usually very campy storyline but this one seems more realistic to me. Usually there movies are either the main character is divorced or widow(er).

No regrets buying this movie. It fit the Christmas season.

Captures everything good about Christmas: hope..connections..beautiful music. All of the actors really clicked. This is a truly enjoyable, relaxing movie.

Just another in a long line of good Hallmark Christmas movies. Merritt Patteron is by far my favorite of the actresses that play in these movies. She is really good in this one.

I loved this movie. All the wonderful music and the actors as well. We have watched it many times.
