We have a large sliding glass door in our room. It has full sun exposure nearly all day and our room is generally 10 degrees hotter than any other room in the house. After installing this I saw a remarkable difference in the temperature. Make sure you thoroughly clean glass before installing. I got a glass/tile scraper from a home improvement store. Clean window, with Ammonia free Windex, scrape every square inch of the glass. After the first cleaning it looked perfectly clean, but there was plenty of small debris left on the window I found after using the scraper. Stuff you can't really see on the glass, but it's there, and very visible if tint is applied over the top. So after cleaning, scraping, cleaning, I sprayed the window thoroughly with a miss of 1 table spoon baby shampoo and a liter of distilled water. After window it covered in the solution I applied the tint to the window. It's easy to slide around because of the solution. Get the tint in the approximate area you need it with a little hanging over the edges. I then used a squeegee to get most of the air bubbles, and air out. I then used a 8" plastic putty knife and pushed it along the edge as a guide with a razor knife on the inside and wend around the edges. It left about 1/16" of a gap on the edges. When finished it looked profession. Then spray the solution again on the tint so the squeegee can easily glide on top of the tint and get the rest of the air bubbles and liquid out. It took about a week for the imperfections from the excess liquid to exit, but looks fantastic and makes a huge difference in the temperature in our room. This stuff is really thick and somewhat durable. I have a cat who tried to attack birds through the window with his claws out and hasn't scratched the tint yet. I will be using this on half the windows in our house. I definitely recommend it. Tools needed: Large spray bottle, at least 1 liter of distilled water, small bottle of baby shampoo, glass tile scraper, plastic putty knife, squeegee, razor. Make sure you use ammonia fee glass cleaner on this stuff.

Works great and easy to apply. Be very careful unrolling it so it doesn't get a crease that does not come out after applying. Good product

I found this window film to be heavier than other films I have used. The heft made installation easier because you can remove the lining from the whole window's length and still have control over the film for placement. As with other films, the key to installation is keeping the window wet so the film can slide around to be properly positioned. Once positioned, the excess can be cut away with a razor. This film does a great job cutting the heat and light intensity coming through my east facing window. Well worth the time, effort, and money. Unfortunately, I guess I mis-measured and didn't have enough film for both sides of the sliding window, I was about 8" short, so I left an empty space on one side at the top where the blinds will cover it.
