Relatively easy to install and seems to correct draining problem.
Dishwasher wouldn't drain every time. Cleaned out debris using on-line videos and draining improved, but still occasionally wouldn't drain. I installed this and haven't had a problem draining since. There are on-line videos for this install as well. My only hard part was that the screws to remove the covering was right under the heater element. Just patience and moving it out of the way worked to get my tool to remove it. The old one actually unscrewed by hand. And a whole lot cheaper than a new dishwasher. The old one was 18 years old and definitely dunked up. Surprised it worked as long as it did.. Just make sure you clean out the places recommended in the other videos.

It Worked - So Far
I don't understand how this small part fixed my dishwasher!! It would not drain and left water in the bottom. Sometimes it ran into the floor. Install took no time at all.All the bolts are 1/4". Not damn metric.Update - 1 week and dish washer still working and no leaks.Update - 2 weeks and still working.Update - 4 weeks and water is once again in the bottom. Can't afford a new on at this time due to Bidenomics. I'm going to try dishwasher cleaner.

Easy to install, fixed me right up.
I have a circa 2002 GE dishwasher that would not drain properly upon completion of its cycle. I know the pump is working fine as it blasted the dishes and I could hear it running to drain. But about 1" of water remained above the metal grate. This fixed it in 10 mins. Perfect.

Dish washer DRAINS!!!!!!!
The media could not be loaded. Husband has been trying to fix dishwasher for a while now. Water wouldn't drain. He didn't believe me that this little part would fix the entire thing.Sure enough I pulled out the old part and the truth began to unfold...The rubber cone part on the old one was almost gone. Placed the new one in, restarted the washer and hot damn, it DRAINED!!!!!So far, It's been a week and has drained everyday! No standing water. The dishes are sqeaky clean now!!!! Just 16$Pic1: old part that twists out.Pic2: New part that will twist back inPic3: Dish Washer Brand:GE Nautilus& VIDEO

The dishwasher is draining again
This little piece did the trick when my dishwasher stopped draining. I did some online research to help my troubleshooting then crossed my fingers when I placed the order that this piece would solve the issue. Thankfully, it did.The plastic felt like it was cheaper quality compared to what was already in there so not sure how long it will last. However, with the low price and fast shipping it wouldn't be bad if I needed to replace again in the future.

It worked!
Over the past couple of years I noticed a good amount of water remained in my dishwasher after the drying cycle was done. It started as just a bit and got worse over time. I could hear the pump was running and could see water dumping into my disposal but it was not properly sensing that there was still water in the basin and would shut off before all of the water was drained. Running the reset function (press and hold the start button for a few seconds) would further drain some of water but still left a lot. Repeating the reset function would not completely drain the basin - again, it was not properly sensing the water in the basin. I checked all the lines, cleaned the traps, and the problem persisted and got worse. It was so bad recently that the water left in the basin was not clean and the dishes were not getting clean because the dirty water was not draining out of the dishwasher.Well... This Check Valve solved the problem! The valve is accessible from the inside of the basin (no need to pull dishwasher from under the counter). At the rear of the basin four small hex bolts hold the plastic filter in place and the valve in under the filter. You'll need a pair of pliers to get leverage on the plastic tabs to unscrew the old valve. When I removed the old valve it was obvious that the rubber flap had deteriorated significantly and the valve was not able to make a seal. This now made sense as the flap had probably been deteriorating over time and the worse the seal, the more water was being left behind. From what I can tell, this valve, when sealed, opens the drain at the lowest point in the basin. When it is in the open (not sealed) position, it serves as a overflow drain as it sits about 3" above the lower drain. So the worn seal allowed only some of the water to drain (and not overflow and flood the kitchen) but did not allow the lower drain to open.Great DIY fix for $13 and about 10 minutes of my time.

Dishwasher wouldn't drain/work Installed this new & Now it works like new!
Our GE dishwasher stopped draining & we thought it was time for a new one. Then the virus hit & we both weren't working, so I started looking around online & found a site that listed a few things that might be causing the problem & they weren't that expensive! So I ordered them the first one didn't seem to make a big difference but this little check valve did! The old one just unscrews from the back of the bottom of the inside of the dishwasher, I had to use a pliers to start it the hard water had limed it in place. I cleaned the area with scotchbrite before I screwed in the new one & it works like new
