AMAZING!
I am very critical when it comes to audio quality & had been looking for a replacement for my Creative T6100 5.1. Visited Logitech Service Centre for their Z906 (THX) model (Rs 19k), Yamaha showroom for 1840 (Rs. 29k), and SONY shworoom for DZ350 (21k).Now a simple suggestion to all : an audio system can't produce un-distorted high-freq spectrum with normal 'fool' ranges! It needs tweeters. Manufacturers can not just defy rules of physics with their Tech hypes, can they? I found DZ350 to yield very sweet, natural sound. And the bass is also deep and clear. Yes, you guessed it right, they have tweeters! I know its not fare to compare a 5.1 with 2.1, but I'm just talking about audio quality, not features. Some namesake 'desi' companies like F&D, TruVision, Zebronics etc. sell models with practically non-functional tweeters also, I didn't want go for them either. In fact their frequency response is so unbalanced that it would soon give you headaches. And then I just discovered this EDIFIER masterpiece! I went thru many third party reviews but couldn't believe how a 'cheap' product can deliver such 'premium' sound?Anyway I ordered and now I am loving it so much! Its sound is quite balanced. Very crispy sound from those fully functional tiny tweeters, and surprisingly deep, clear bass. It has a bass control knob & I mostly put it at 50%. Now, if you wish to play directly from SD or USB etc., you may think why there were no treble control knobs, but actually you won't ever feel the need to boost it! In fact sometimes you may perhaps wish to reduce it (Only if the source quality is very poor or vintage type). But then, there is always the Aux. & BT option so you can exercise full control over the input audio signal. For bass, I suggest to try different positions of the woofer unit on your floor. I have found my sweet spot :-p!Don't undermine its wattage capability - at only 48W it can go very loud & heavy for a 12x12 ft room! And you can hear it far from your home. Just don't expect it to be as loud as DZ350 , since they spend more than double power than this.If you are not particular about 5.1 & LFE, just grab it. It is equally great for music, movies & games.Update after one month: I did not hear so sensitive tweeters for a very long time! For the treble part, it sounds like costly Hi Fi speakers! Funny, sometimes we hear so nice, subtle piano or guitar strokes in the middle of a known song, that we have to check our mobiles. Then we realise that it was in fact coming from this amazing set only! I am also using it sometimes for our Korg PA 600.
