I love this hair dye! Its so pigmented and pretty! Although, something to think about before buying the red color, I ordered it hoping it to be more red but it came out a kind of maroonish- pink. Still gorgeous though!

Not the most vibrant or sticky red. Smells nice and not damaging

I love the long lasting color from iroiro! Red pigments are tricky, and the last few reds I used would be washed out pink-blonde within a couple weeks even with cold water and sulfate free shampoo. When I use this as my base, my hair is red for at least 2 months and I haven't gotten to that pink-blonde shade again before my roots get bad enough to need to retouch it all anyway! This red sticks so much better! It is a very pink based red, and it is kinda weird in that the color in the bowl is not the shade it takes on the hair, so don't panic when it looks pink instead of red because it turns out a nice deep red once it oxidizes in the hair. I add a touch of purple and green to mine to make it deeper and slightly neutralize the pink, which turns out a beautiful dark cherry shade. You do have to be mindful mixing though, it will be lighter in the bowl, so I aim for the color in the bowl to look like someone took the shade of red I want and diluted it to a dark pink. Seems to work out well!

I was a bit nervous when I put this product on my hair, as it did not look very bright coming out of the package. I was even more nervous when I rinsed and the water was PINK, not red. REALLY pink. However, the color on my hair looks great! It is a very nice red and I have super dark hair that is NOT easy to lift. I am quite pleased and will more than likely purchase again.

For over the past year, I have been dying portions of my hair. Naturally, I have brown hair, but I have about half of it bleached. I have used Dark Red dye almost every time because the regular red is too bright for what I want. The color itself on bleached hair does turn out quite well for about 6 washes with a color safe shampoo, then it starts to fade quickly. Thankfully, I dye a little less than a quarter of my hair (which goes down to my lower back) and the 8oz tube is good for about 6 applications. I would recommend this dye to someone with lighter hair if they are going for a nice red color, however if they have darker hair without their hair being bleached, I wouldn’t recommend it if they were going for a long-term application.
