are they made out of steel or aluminum it says both ?

Mine are made of steel. They tighten down without bending. A nice set of hold down clamps.

Are these M6 size bolts/threads?

They certainly appear to be, since the slots are 8.25mm (0.326") and the threaded screw holes very nearly fill the raised slot-filling boss. It would be easy enough to verify by capturing a vendor photo at 45 degrees and scaling it to normalize the length, then rescaling it by 1.414 to account for the angle. You can then simply measure the hole in the photo directly to get its diameter.
