I thought that they might be more on the flimsy side but I was wrong they are very durable and easy to use although de-molding can be a little bit tough but like i said they are durable so no need to worry about tearing.

Love these chess piece molds! They stand up straight on their own and are nice and strong… all of them were easy to demold with the exception of the King and Queen… they get stuck at the middle where this lip is… I found that if I rolled the mold down instead of just trying to pull the piece out, and used some WD40 as a lubricant, they would pop right out! I made a set using UV Resin… I hate waiting 24 hours for things to cure when they are this size,,,I cured them in layers as well… except the pawn, I could fill them up and cure them all at Once… took about 45 minutes total time to cure everything properly using the uv resin …. I also made a set with 4 hour demold Resin when I cured up a checker/chess board… that way I had two complete sets of pieces to go with the board,,, the board was the same brand as the pieces I’m reviewing now… over all, these chess pieces are excellent … they are sturdy, easy to demold, and did not warp out of shape demolding them… I am going to order another set so that I have two complete sets and some extras since I got one set with the board mold… Highly recommend!!!

Pieces come out dull

I love these molds - but I will say be careful the resin get into every crack, especially the pawns. The first time I made one the top of the pawns weren't there because the resin didn't travel that far down. Some also came out broken at the top due to air bubbles so be careful. Some were also hard getting out of the mold, I had to have my husband help me. Overall, loved these molds.

These molds (all molds) should come with a warning lol. I'm new to the 2 part resin stuff so my knowledge is severely lacking, or was. Make sure you get the resin ALL the way to the bottom and make sure there aren't any air gaps! Took me 3 or 4 times to make one set. Strictly user error obviously. Make sure you stretch out the molds like you would a balloon first.On the bright side? All of those attempts and not one of those buggers tore! Definitely sturdy.

I previously bought the chess board mold which came with a set of chess molds and have never had an issue!I recently purchased this set so I can finish a whole chess set at once instead of waiting for the pieces to dry.I've been using resin for quite some time. I followed all of the directions and the pieces even cured for longer than required because I had life happening lol.1st mold ripped completely when I tried to demoled it. Got a few more completely put no issues. But then the last 2 ripped and even one of them the mold was stuck completely to the resin piece.. I have never ever seen that happen before.Totally cheaply made amd not worth the purchase.

Loved that that stood up straight unlike some I purchased elsewhere. Very nice quality, not super thin. Details came out beautifullyApp not letting me share a ohoto

They work really well, just remember to squeeze the mold to release air bubbles for allowing resin to cure.My only complaint is that the description did not state that the pieces would have a matte finish, and not a shiny finish. That is really disappointing.
