I’ve been using Moco de Gorila Punk hair gel for a while now, and it definitely delivers a strong, long-lasting hold. It keeps my hair in place all day, even in humid conditions, without constantly needing touch-ups. A little goes a long way, so each bottle lasts quite a while. One feature I really like is that you can reactivate it with water. If your hair starts to lose shape, just dampen it slightly and restyle without adding more product. The squeezable bottles are convenient and easy to control, and the 3-pack offers great value for the amount you get. It does dry fairly firm, so it’s best for structured or spiked styles rather than soft, natural looks. If you’re looking for maximum hold and reliability, this gel does the job well.

I have ordered this product now 3 times for a friend and he says it the best. Not very sticky but hold hair in place. It work well with his spiky hair.

While it is a 10-hold, it’s so super-sticky and dries so quickly that, unless diluted with a bit of water, it’s more difficult to spread and separate clumps of hair into spikes — though it holds GREAT! I also prefer a bit of a shine in my hair gels and the YELLOW yields more of a matte finish. The gel is pale yellow in color and it has a subtle, fresh, pleasant, yet hard-to-describe scent that also doesn’t linger. 👍🏻 OLD FORMULA (original GREEN bottle): Out of all of the various types of Gorilla Snot Gels, this is one of my favorites due to its ease of use, sheen and scent. The smell is not offensive/doesn’t linger. The hold level is a 7, but I find it holds my short, spiky hair well throughout the day. The spikes stay clumped together but aren’t so hard that you’d accidentally poke someone’s eye out during a hug. Compared to the other RED, BLUE and YELLOW bottles — which have higher levels of hold — this works almost as well. I just ordered a 3-pack replacement of it and…(see below). 👎🏻 The BLUE bottle (10-hold) holds great. The gel is a whitish/clear color. However, I CANNOT STAND the lingering, gag-inducing mint smell. (Will be passed-on to someone else.) 👍🏻 The RED bottle (9-hold) is my second-favorite. It holds very well, seems to take a bit longer to dry/set than the YELLOW, but is easier to work with and has a somewhat glossy finish. To achieve hard, dangerous spikes, more is required but can weigh hair down and hamper its effect. It is a light-pinkish color and has a mild, cherry scent. I just ordered a 3-pack replacement of it as well and…(see below). 👎🏻 I’d tried the PURPLE bottle but HATED THE SCENT of that one and gave it to a nephew; I don’t 100% recall its aroma — possibly either sickeningly-sweet-smelling or minty. The labeling is different and the Web only indicates ‘new packaging’; but, THAT is a lie! [The gel USED to be a light green color; it is now blue. (See pics). It USED to have a lighter, citrusy smell…now it’s more musky. The hold and sheen appear to have remained the same]. I’m NOT happy with this new scent, I don’t much care what the bottle LOOKS like, yet I AM satisfied with its comparable performance to the original version. So, about this 3-pack of the RED bottles I just received (the UPDATED PACKAGING/FORMULA): They arrived in a sealed bag, inside of an Amazon box…no leaks/spillage/damage. The labeling is different and the Web only indicates ‘new packaging’; but, that’s ALSO a lie! [The gel USED to be a pale pink color; it is now red. (See pics). It USED to have a cherry smell…now it smells of fermented strawberries and pineapple. The hold and sheen appear to have remained the same as well]. The price is so much better than what I had been using — SEXY HAIR’s HARD UP GEL (which is so expensive lately that it’s been relegated to special occasions, NOT for my every day usage). These gels truly last all day and ARE reactivatable with damp hands. The various hold-levels and sheens offered can accommodate hair-styling options for many hair types and personal preferences. All of the snots take seemingly forever to wash off of hands after using; easily shampooed out of hair, though. Along with tequila, another fine product from Mexico! However, like tequila, why mess with/change something that’s already great?! C’mon Natturalabs!

I’ve been using this gel for about three months now, and it’s easily the best I’ve tried in this price range. I have very thick, unruly hair, and most gels either give up halfway through the day or leave me looking like I have dandruff from all the flaking. This one is different. ​The Performance: The hold is definitely a "Strong" or "Max" hold. I apply it to damp hair in the morning, and my style stays sharp until I wash it out at night. It handles humidity surprisingly well—I live in a swampy climate and my hair didn't frizz up the second I stepped outside. ​The Texture: It has a standard gel consistency, not too runny. Once it dries, it does have a bit of a "crunch" (a cast), but you can easily scrunch that out with your hands if you want a softer look while keeping the shape. ​Pros: ​Zero Flaking: Even if you restyle your hair later in the day, it doesn't turn into white dust. ​Washability: Comes out easily with regular shampoo; no buildup. ​Scent: Very clean, masculine-leaning but subtle. It doesn't compete with my cologne. ​Cons: ​The bottle flip-cap can get a bit messy if you don't wipe it down occasionally. ​Bottom Line: If you’re tired of gels that lose their hold or leave white residue in your hair, buy this. It’s reliable, affordable, and actually does what the bottle claims.

Thick and sticky. I find a few drops of water on my hands helps thin it out and make it easier to apply. It does seem like this version is a little different than the last batch I bought but it's still the best gel I've ever used... a the 3 pack is super affordable. There's no funky smells that I detected.
