The first model worn by Michael Jordan was launched in 1985 and is the only Air Jordan model to feature a Nike Swoosh logo. The Air Jordan 1 violated the NBA uniformity policy. This caused Jordan to receive a $5,000 fine per game. This became the subject of a popular Nike advertisement. The Air Jordan 1 is still popular today and has been launched in more variations than any other Air Jordan model.

Disappointed with the quality
Ordered these shoes for my 14 year old for Christmas, and he wore them only 5 times to just walk around (no sports) and they’re already falling apart. It’s just been 10 days since he got them and he’s so bummed. He loves these shoes and he’d been wanting them for the longest. For $150+ shoes I expected better. Contacting the seller now for a refund. Will post with update. Update- I had forgotten to update. It’s been a while. But just so everyone knows the seller refused to take them back because he wore them. We kept them. As you can imagine they look awful now (after 2 years) but my son still wears them because he loves them. I would not recommend this seller.
