Great flash
This is what I’ve been looking for. You can take any kind of pictures with it and they come out great. Definitely worth the price for it. I’ve been recommending this to my friends who take pictures also.

Came broken- junk
The ring flash came broken. The flash would not work even though I was able to power the unit on. Every time I clicked the test button it didn’t work. Wish there was an alternative option for funk film cameras.

So far so good
I have used it for a week, and very satisfied so far, it is very simple to use with only one button to adjust the brightness. I used the brightest level as bought it for my dental clinic and my setting is F22 ISO 100, so for micro it needs quite bit mount of light, the highest level is just the right mount of light for me. Very fast react, able to continuously shoot, no need to wait for it to recharge, that very important for my practice The downside I could think of are that the ring is not firmly hold by the adapter they proved, so it turns around quite a bit, not fall off thou, but as a ring it doesn’t make much differences for me; another is that it used 4AA batteries and has no indicator for how much the battery left, so better to have backups

Great for lighting macro shots
This is great for taking close-up macro shots of paired wedding rings or tiny electronic printed circuit boards. It only has the one firing pin in the hot shoe, so it should work with just about any camera that has a hot shoe. For such really up close photos you will either need magnifying filters to screw onto your zoom lens. These come in a set of several magnifications and you can stack them for higher magnification, or you can get lens extension tubes to fit between your camera and lens. These also come as a set, and can be stacked for higher magnification too. There is some light loss when adding lenses, so the stacking extension tubes are the preferred method. Be sure to get the auto focus version and size for your brand of lens. For a 10X shot of a 1" X 1 1/2" printed circuit board I used the lowest power setting of this ring flash and 1/200 sec, F6, and ISO 200 to get the result that I wanted. This produces a shadow free light for your photos.

Great for systems that don't offer a dedicated ringflash
There is no dedicated ringflash for m4/3 camera systems, so I figured I'd try this one. Glad I did - it's been perfect for my insect macro photography. It doesn't offer any kind of metering or TTL abilities - just "dumb" manual power levels, but I haven't had any issues being able to balance the flash output using a combination of aperture and ISO adjustments in 1/3 increments. Recharge time between flashes is quick, even at full power. Power is more than adequate for macro work, although it might not hold up for portraiture use.

Easy to use ring flash at great price
Used this light on macro lens. Immediately improved sharpness in my photos (handheld). The built quality is plastic, but the light works great and is incredibly easy to use. The lowest strength is only 1/8, which may be too bright for close-up work. Simple solution: take it off lens mount and hand hold off to the side. Great and simple ring flash. Bought another one and have to my sister, who also wanted a ring flash!

Dead on Arrival
Dead on Arrival. I tried two different brands of new batteries and the unit would not flash. It just made a click sounds when I pressed the test button. It didn't do anything when attached to my Fuji XT3. I requested a replacement through Amazon hoping the first one was just a dud.

Perfect for catch lights and macro photography
This ring flash was the perfect fit for my Tokina 100mm macro lense. The see of lense attachments that came with the flash are really helpful because the screw into the lense. If you are looking for a great catch light in your portraits or a flash for macro photography this flash unit is what you need.

It’s basically luck, how far the product will work. Worked well quiet few times in the last three months. Stopped working after that. Please don’t waste your money.

Decent cheaper alternative to the Nikon option, which was 5x the price. has brightness settings to help get proper exposure. The fitting to the lens is a bit bulkier than my old ring flash for a different camera system. Basically though, I like it.
