Great price - less than $8! Heats up easily I used 30 seconds. You want it warm not hot. My eye doctor recommended this for me to help with dry irritated red eyes. I could feel the tears actually working in my eyes the first time I used this. I use it with the blue bag to keep the mask clean and I can wash the bag as needed. There wasn't any smell and the weight of the seeds was comfortable. The mask stayed in place and if I was going to sit up there is an elastic with velcro band to keep it up on my face. I recommend this instead of those much more expensive masks that are essentially the same.

Works as described

My eye doctor told me to wear a heated eye mask for about 15 minutes every night to help with dry eye. This one is good. It's nicely weighted; it doesn't smell bad; it heats very quickly in the microwave. I do wish it held heat longer. To go for 15 minutes I have to pop up to reheat it at the ten minute mark. Those who said in reviews that it burned up in the microwave must have left it in too long. The directions are clear. I put it in for 11 seconds, flip it over, go for another 11 seconds, and take it out. I do think it would burn a hole through it if you put it in for 30 seconds and walked away.

Headline says it all. It's much, much easier to use than the hot water soaked eye bags and the heat lasts longer. Didn't suffer from any of the manufacturing issues that seemed to be more common in early 2023. Maybe they fixed those, or I just got lucky. As others have noted, nuke this for 10-30 seconds at a time, shake it up, then repeat until at the temp you want. Nuke it for an extended period all at once and you're probably asking for trouble (as in fire).

I got this because the flaxseed ones only last about 6 months until they start to burn when you heat it up. This is not comfortable and does not hold heat long. It must have hard beads in it, and I only use it for 5 minutes, but the heat isn't very strong after about 3. Plus, it says to cover it, which is kind of annoying when my last mask already had a cover and worked much better. It hasn't helped my dry eye. Will be returning.

Please ignore any first review from me! I have bought these twice and they are excellent. I only keep mine in the microwave for 35 seconds or so and they hold the seat very well; the band keeps it tight on my head and they are well-made. Since I have to do this on nightly, I appreciate the safety inconvenience.

This eye mask is exactly what I needed as I have corneal dysplasia.I heat it on each side for 10 seconds in the microwave. It has a stretchable strap that will fit any head and you can wear it comfortably. It feels good and helps my eyes produce more tears. If your tears are more like crisco rather than water, you need this.
