Great product, shipping and packaging

This is a beautiful replacement for an old, rusty wick holder in an antique oil lamp. Most new wick assemblies screw on to the outside of the neck of the lamp and won't fit my antique lamp; this one screws into the inside of the lamp neck and fits perfectly. It's brass and beautiful to boot. It was an expensive addition to the lamp but the only replacement part I found, and since its solid brass and fixes a uranium glass lamp, it's worth the expense.

Recently ordered the lamp and quilted shade (separately) from this seller. Everything arrived early and VERY well packaged. Nothing broken. Burner does fit on the collar. You have to unscrew the bottom first and then it will fit. Can also be used on a different lamp where burner/collar just ‘screws on’. Love it!! Looks good in my ‘folk’ Victorian home. Will definitely be buying another color lamp soon.

The burner for an older oil lantern that my mom gave me would not work. It would not advance or retract the wick, so I purchased this burner as a replacement. It appears to be well made and advances the wick with ease. The glass chimney fits on it just fine. The only problem I had was that the ring that screws onto the glass part of the oil reservoir did not have the same threads as the old one. Fortunately, I was able to use the old one and screw it to the burner itself and those threads did match. (see photo, notice the old ring on the bottom) Since these two pieces did marry up, the lantern works great now. Would recommend this replacement part.

I have an oil lamp that I received years ago as a gift. I use it every time there is a power outage. I looked in every department store I came across for wicks and couldn't find anywhere. Finally I looked on Amazon! This is great. You can cut it to whatever length you want. And with 6 feet of it, it will last a very long time.
