Can have both lights on or either one on on its own as there's a switch for each light

Is the height of the main up lighter adjustable. The dimensions suggest it will be too tall to fit where I would like it unless it can be shortened.

It is not height adjustable. It stands 5ft 10in/178cm approx tall if that helps.

Can you alter the angle of the lower light

Yes, the whole arm for the lower light is flexible.
