These Door Locks are the same part with Different length Cables
The direct replacement for our washer was $125. Saved over $100 by purchase this one and just soldered the cable from my old one to this. My original door lock cable was about 4 inches longer than this one. I chose this one because it was inexpensive and would arrive in two days. Ten minutes of soldering, installed and fixed the issue. Washer is back in business.

Replaced the door lock on my washing machine. Its a good price when you need it and does work well.

Replaced Kenmore 110.31632611 latch with this model
Saved about 100$ by using this latch instead of the one that was 130$ from AppliancePartsPros. Keep in mind that I did have to use the soldering iron to swap the cable out with the original one. The patented is identical which means it is the identical latch mechanism with a different part number. This is by far the biggest flaw in practically every washing machine using this lock. It is practically designed to fail!! It is not IP65 rated (waterproof) and is prone to corrode after moisture is on the contacts/resistor. So if you are handy with a soldering iron you can use this lock to replace the Kenmore 110.31632611 you don't even need to take the original cable completely off of the machine.

Easy to install and works like a charm. Definitely helped to to watch video installs first to make sure you get it all right.

Connection is 2 rows of exposed pins but after putting old connector on works fine
Pins ar hard to align to washer connector and may not make good contact so swapped the connector with old solid plastic one and works fine.

East and cheap!
Fixed my Maytag shutting down after about 20 seconds do to bad lock mechanism. Great value for the money!
