S'well 10100-B18-17096 Sport Cap, Fits 9oz/17oz, Stainless Steel

I got a swell-shaped bottle from work and loved it, except I physically cannot bring myself to drinking out of screw-cap bottles. I was hesitant to get this cap initially because of the price and because I am typically a straw-drinker, but I got it to test and I’m never going back. Well – that’s a lie... I still love the ease of a straw, but this makes my water bottle the most appealing drink I’ve ever tasted somehow. I find myself filling up my bottle so many times in a day at work now. The only slight downside is that it leaks sometimes. This is because I’m lazy and don’t always push the cap all the way down. But, if you did, it would be completely leak-proof! All in all, this is a great cap! All of my coworkers happen to have the same bottle as me, but this makes it super easy to differentiate which is mine. I also now spend a lot of time running to the refill stations because the cap makes it easy to drink a tonnnn of water!

Easy to use, specially on the move

Lots of previous reviews say this lid leaks. It does NOT leak if closed properly. The lid needs to be tilted ALL THE WAY to the back to drink out of it well. It needs to be tilted the opposite way ALL THE WAY to the front to be closed properly. If the tab is horizontal & even and you can see a sliver of blue it is not closed properly and it will leak. It has to be tilted. Please see the attached pictures. I ordered a 3rd party silicone strap for a carry handle since S'well is out of stock. It's easy to carry since it's flexible & no noise like from other carabiner handles I looked at. Thick, sturdy & inexpensive. Love it when upright but sadly as others have said it leaks if it slides over in a bag. Great for my bedside drink but not for travelling
