Easy DIY paint
Great wood finish, just takes a day or two to fully dry. This was my first time painting furniture and I’m happy w the way it came out

Good coverage, not much mess
Super easy to apply, it's a bit thicker so I find it's less of a mess. Stains wood nicely, and I like that with one coat you can still slightly see the wood grain. Two coats and it's solid black.

Stains GREAT. Quicker/better than paint
Very long lasting. Color doesn't fade through time. Here's a before and after of the kitchen. I had to use multiple layers for a nice dark black finish. I found it easier to use small sponge brushes to apply the stain versus a rag like most pple recommend. Make sure you buy the wood finish as well to add after the stain color dries so it gives a glossy look and for longevity.

horrible stain , never buy again
i usually use Varathane water based stain but tried this stain . application was not good as it's like applying applesauce , super thick and doesn't flow good a wood . it dries super fast so you have to wipe it off immediately or you have to re-stain that area ro be able to wipe it off . will never purchase this type off stain from minwax , will stick to Varathane ..

Good quality paint
I used this to paint my pergola. The paint is thick and dries fast. I was fortunate to be able to get it overnight on Amazon since the big box stores ran out.

Drys super fast
This stain is tricky to work with if you let it sit for more then 10 seconds, drys super quick and splotchy if left to dry. I found if you add a little bit of water, it’s a lot easier to work with.

Tricky to get the desired results.
I used this stain on a kitchen table I made out of Ash. The tabletop is end grain, making the staining more challenging than the face grain aprons and legs. The main issue is with trying to get the color even. It's very susceptible to lap marks. I found I had to saturate the work piece and work very quickly to get it on the surface and then quickly remove it. If you let it soak in to the point where it's starting to dry, you're in trouble. Ultimately the project turned out looking very nice but ended up doing the staining 3 times until I was happy with it. That meant a LOT of sanding. And that was after spending time on smaller test pieces. The small test pieces were easier to get good results with because they lacked the drying time issues. I should mention that the humidity in my area was fairly low at the time. It can produce a nice result, but just be aware that it's not quite the same as other stains you may have used.
