OMG! Incredible!
Important to note: My comments are in the context of having been a Vitamix user for over 20 years. We bought the Ninja because we were looking for something to replace our Cuisinart Mini-Prep Plus. We were attracted to the Ninja because the reviews said it turned out more consistent results compared to others. We also noted that people warned about how quickly it could turn ingredients from chunks to mush. Both are very true. What we love about the Ninja is that it's super light, and easy to assemble and clean. It's also very quiet compared to other machines. And, the bases are super stable--no traveling across the counter as our Vitamix wants to do sometimes. What's remarkable is how quickly the Ninja breaks down ingredients. We've been going crazy making nut butters, including peanut and pecan butters. That's where the Ninja totally shines in comparison to all other machines (and we've used them all, from the Vitamix and Cuisinart to others!). Quiet, effective, and speedy are the three words to describe the Ninja. We also made raw cranberry relish (raw cranberries, apples, whole oranges, and dates) that the Ninja zipped out in seconds. It's true that the Ninja won't turn out the kind of silky smooth cream soups that the Vitamix will, but if the Vitamix earns an A+ in this use case, the Ninja earns an A-. You also can't beat the price: Less than 10% of the cost for a Vitamix. Do the math. It's a simple equation if you don't absolutely need silky smooth textures. And there's no comparison with the Cuisinart Mini-Prep, which we found to be noisy, OK for salsa and courser chopping, but not great at nut butters. For the easy of use, what it produces, quietness, and price, the Ninja can't be beat.

Perfect. Easy Cleanup.
This is a great little blender/processor. I needed a processor to make Mexican Corn Cake but I didn’t want to spend too much as I don’t have many uses to have a big one taking up space all the time. I got this one for $39. This set does not take up a ton of room and is very versatile. You can customize the blades in the small container as well as the pitcher. All of the plastic is nice and thick; there are no cheap feeling pieces in this set. I’ve also made smoothies with it and it crushed ice and frozen fruit with zero issues. I love that it is all dishwasher safe too, saves time on cleanup. Be careful during assembly because when they say those blades are sharp they are NOT joking! I didn’t even know I touched one of the blades when I was putting it together and I must have cut myself! So try to pick the blade part up by the stem. It’s loud like any other blender, but not obnoxious. You’ll definitely hear it in the other room, but it’s a blender so I would think most are going to be loud unless you have a vacuum sealed professional blender.

Great bargain, works great!
This is a great kitchen tool and does so much. I like the 3 pieces that can do different functions. I liked the older style with the "push down to activate" function, better. Very powerful and does everything needed. The price was a great value. I hope the carafes hold up better than the old style, though.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
Don't second guess this, especially for the price! Just buy it. This unit replaced my old bulky kitchen aide food processor and my old bulky vitamix. Absolutely LOVE this addition to my kitchen. We use it to crush ice for margaritas, dice up veggies and onions for meals, and make smoothies. It's Fast and easy to operate. I have a tiny kitchen with not a lot of cabinet space and it fits perfectly. Thank you Ninja!

Easy to take apart & Clean too. Super Fast Chop
Best food processor I ever owned!! With some hand and wrist arthritis, it is hard to unscrew lids or to pry open most other machines. THIS ONE has Very Easy Lids that lift up to take apart, but also stay very secure with no leakage when i gently press the covers down before i operate the machine. The motor is on the top of the machine, and the blades come out to easily rinse them after use. This leaves a 3 pitchers with NO blade on the bottom of it (like most blenders), so you can just wash the pitchers out with no fear of cutting your fingers on super sharp blades! This machine saves time because it chops super fast.

I would recommend it..
For the price it is worth it. There are some design flaws. I will go with a pro and con list. Pros- Works amazing, it really does blend well. After I got it I was highly doubtful because it is not like any blender I have ever seen. It does work great. Really easy to clean. With ice, you have to be careful not to over fill it, but it does work. With the smaller one I made powdered sugar from normal sugar ...it actually worked. Took a bit and I think with a different one it would have worked a little better. I have made iced coffee mixes with it and I love it... Cons- The way you put the blades in isn't very well thought out...it just sits in there ..not locked in place...I almost broke the larger blending pitcher because I had poured some smoothie out to test it, well I forgot to keep my finger on the top blade stick thingy part...it moved while I did that. I did not realize and put the motor on it and pressed the button. It was not on the bit of metal that holds it and almost destroyed the pitcher..(if it was glass it would probably be broken). Once the blade part comes out you can't use the blender...you can't just put it back on..so if it accidentally pops up and you are not finished..you have to pour out what you are making and clean it. I know this makes it sound awful but it actually has an amazing motor for how cheap it is..I have already gotten good use from it. I waited to make this review. The design seems to be something no ones spoken about and I figured I would let people know. As long as you do not make my mistake you won't damage the pitcher... Update: I have had my blender for almost 3 yrs now. It is the older version thats like 34$ now. I have had none of these issues with it that are being posted. The only thing I've noticed is...the bottom of the pitcher where the lil thing goes through for the blades ..is forming cracks. This is from use though and is to be expected. The issues I am seeing are from using it wrong. The melting, its from not pulsing it. I do mine for 15 second pulses. It over heats the motor and that is why your burning the plastic. I do not add everything at once either(if I'm going to make a good amount). The motors strong but that's unnecessary strain on it...plus it can make it leak if you add all at once. Yes, I'm sure some are defects..but you're buying a cheaper blender, expecting it to be like the $300 Ninja. I also dont recommend using ice. I will sometimes put a cube in or three after I add my other ingredients... but I don't think the pitcher itself is made for ice. Or maybe pulse it for less time. I also hand wash it... the plastic breaking could be from dishwashing. Heating plastic up isn't great for it.

Impressive!
This blender is a beast! I am thoroughly impressed with the quality for such great price. I have recommended it to so many at this point. Be super careful when washing the blades, I did cut my finger the first time I washed it, the blades are super sharp. This blends protein shakes (with ice) so quickly it’s insane!

This item is great!!
So far, I absolutely love this blender and food processor. I’ve been looking for one for a few weeks now that would meet my needs. I’ve had an old Hamilton Beach blender since I was married almost 50 years ago. It still works, but I don’t like having to mix everything in the big glass container and it’s hard to clean. This blender, food processor appeal to me because it came with three different sizes of containers with individual blades and covers for each one. This morning I made a smoothie in the smaller container and it worked perfect. Runs smooth and clean and it isn’t very loud. The tops have an and it isn’t very loud. The tops have a rubber ring around the opening and the top fits securely inside of the container so there are no leaks! Everything is easy to clean and they’re all dishwasher safe. If I want to make salsa or a margarita I can use the other two containers and I have an option of the size I want. You have to make sure that the power pod is seated correctly and then you push on it and you can either pulse it or let it run for a while, depending on what you are mixing and the consistency of blending you need. I’m so glad that I purchased this. I was not sure what I wanted. It was $59 and I got it in two days. I envision a lot of use and other reviews I read say that it lasts a long time. It is so much easier to use than my big blender. Having multiple sizes is very important to me. I’m sure that anyone that purchases this will be pleased!
