Cobra Plumbing 10100 1/4-Inch by 10-Feet Drain Auger, No Size, No Color

Tried to use on AC drain. Unsuccessful but just a homeowner.

I'm a homeowner with not much plumbing experience. I bought this to fix a slow drain / clog and it worked like a charm. I could tell that the clog was pretty far into the pipes because after clearing the hairball at the top of the drain without this tool, the water still flowed slowly. I'm glad I didn't bother with one of the single-use pipe cleaners because I doubt that that would have worked. The 10' was more than enough but I liked having it available. It was kind of tricky getting this through some of the turns of the pipe but with some jabbing and a little force, I finally pushed the clog through.

Auger is covered with grease/oil, which smears all over everything it touches. Once you start pulling it out of the plastic container, it tends to unroll by itself and whips around, even slapping me in the face with a grease smear. The diameter is 1/4", but the spiral end is closer to 1/2".

I never used it but it is what was promised.

Cable bent right away. Can't hardly even figure out to use it correctly. Waste of money.
