Helps a lot with the water in the humidifier. I do not have white residue on items that are in the room I am running the humidifier in.

This is a bit more expensive than other options but from the reviews of the other options and my own personal experience with this it lasts longer so makes up for the difference in price. It does a good job of reducing the mineralization deposits and does not need replacing as often as others. As the amount of minerals in water vary by location it is hard to say how long this will last for you, but for my tanks I only need to replace it every other month and there was a good test strip in my package indicating how often I could expect to replace it which seemed accurate.

I tried this out in a humidifier that was blanketing my apt in white powder after I moved to a neighborhood that had harder water. I tested it out in a small room first. Although the white powder was eliminated on the first day, by the second a very small amount had accumulated. So although it does work, it won’t completely eliminate the issue especially if your water is on the harder side. I ended up switching to an evaporative humidifier, but continue to use these as I heard it can help the filter wear out less quickly.

Product was received as described. Maybe a little bit smaller than I thought they would be. They do keep the majority of the white dust from forming. It took about 40 refills in my humidifier for my sensor to come on to clean the conductor from flim on it. So I really can't complain. It might help if they were heavier to stay down in the water. I don't stand over it watching, so when the humidifier is on it may be moving as the water or mist to being pulled out into the air.

I didn't want to risk cheap cartridges leaking black stuff so I bought these and am happy. No black stuff. No white dust after several weeks. Worth the extra price.
