A great series!
Graphic novels, what’s not to love?! This series is great for younger kids who are not yet ready for The Baby Sitter’s Club (content-wise). Great lessons learned in each story, offer lots of talking points between parent and child around real life things that kids are dealing with. So good…

Bought for my daughter and she loved it. It's a great series to grow up on, dealing with real life topics and still fun and appropriate for her age.

I read the original text chapter books of these series when I was younger, and it's really nice to see these updated in graphix form. My daughter is nearly 5 and loves these books. While Karen can be ceeky and naughty sometimes she is very realistic, and here being nervous about getting glasses is something a lot of kids could relate to, as well as having to deal with name-calling. Katy Farina does a great job illustrating the story, making Karen so expressive and really makes for cute story.

It was good to see the issue of glasses, bullying and discrimination shown. The difficulty of wearing glasses young is the name calling. It is a shame that the teacher did nothing to work it out but I was glad to see her become more comfortable with them as time went on.
