I think this is a seller's question but I doubt it. Like any cord, when you add distance, you will have resistance building up. Working or not will depend on your plan to use it. If you just need power or simple function like mouse, I think you may be okay. If you want to deal with harddisk, I won't trust that approach even if the connected-together cables appear to work at first.
