Q: is this sturdy enough to withstand wind from a thunderstorm?

No, the walls are only holding on with velcro straps every couple of feet. While camping we had a breezy day and some of my straps started tearing off so now I take it down if the wind starts picking up.

Q: Would this fit a 10×10 ozark trail straight leg canopy? And have room to add a projector screen on inside of mesh screen. Trying to make a movie room.

Yes it should but you have to make sure the legs are very straight or it’s a really tight fit at the bottom. I put mine on by myself and couldn’t get it to zip at the bottom until I straightened the legs more. Hope this helps!

Q: Can you offset the openings so they're not centered?

Yes. The screen walls attach with simple hanging looks, so you can place the doors in any configuration you choose.

Q: Would this work well on a 9x9 straight leg?

Yes, since it only goes around the frame with Velcro . May be a little bulky as it it is not a snug fit on a 10 by 10 canopy.
