She loved it so much, it earned a spot on her “happy shelf.” But here’s the twist—the liquid flows upward. Yes, upward! If you're using it for a precise timer, you should check the time. Mine is actually about 12 minutes (for most of the blue stuff to get to the top, there are still lots of stragglers that I don't count in the total time). My son uses it for his homework timer, so it's not necessary for precision, but it does claim to be +/- 10% accurate, which it is not. Nevertheless, it is fun to watch.

Actually got it from my grandson because he likes the sand structures but most of them are glass which yes I bought one and he broke it... Which was devastating for him... This one's perfect for him to handle it works great and it's pretty and he enjoys it

This thing is really neat looking, and it seems well made. It’s definitely a fun and interesting desk item. But when I timed it a few times I get somewhere in the range of 15:45-17:00 or so instead of the approximate 10 minutes promised. So, as a 10 minute timer I can’t recommend it. I debated returning it, but I think I’ll keep this one. Maybe one day I’ll discover it’s useful to have a handy reference for 16 ish minutes.

Are you wondering if you should buy this? Yes. Do it. Immediately. I bought a blue one and watching the tiny orbs float up has been great, I will be ordering a red and green one to go with it. I timed it at 12 mins, but I wasn’t really planning to use it as a timer!

I bought this to prove to one of my bosses where her time went because she couldn’t get things done. This pretty timer showed that what seemed like 5 minutes was really 20.

Eine tolle Uhr, die die kleinen Kügelchen* (?) nach oben statt nach unten schwimmen/schweben (fallen) lässt. Bei mir habe ich testweise die Zeiten gemessen und auf beiden Seiten waren diese ungefähr gleich. Als Geschenk für Geburtstag verwendet ---> super, da der totale Hingucker ;) Würde ich wieder kaufen (hmm, eigentlich bräuchte ich ja jetzt auch so eins, denn "meins" habe ich nun verschenkt...) * = der Effekt entsteht übrigens, da die Kügelchen eine geringere Dichte im Inneren aufweisen als die des Wassers bzw. der Flüssigkeit, die drum herum ist. Durch diese Dichte sind sie entsprechend leichter und erhalten Auftrieb ---> sie fallen/fliegen (usw., s.o.) nach oben.
