Used these today for my Lexus, absolutely worked great. My first time actually doing a strut swap and these eased the job significantly.

Works great on king off road shocks , the shop quoted me at $300 to switch both springs out if I took them the shocks off the truck , so spent around $50 on the tool and it literally took me 15 minutes to do per sideDefinitely worth the money

Worked very well on mid size truck springs. Keep in mind they don't debur the sharp edges on the stamped component.

Rentals on spring compressors are free but you are relying on your local parts store to have it available. I wanted to have one available at all times and found this model with a case. I have used them once but I feel this should be good for years and was a good price.

These worked great for compressing 3 springs. On the fourth, the receiving threads on one of the units completely failed while on a compressed spring. Thankfully, The other unit held ….

These are better than the old version I used ten year ago. During use, those threaded bolts bowed under spring tension and I had to act quickly swapping the shock. Not with these! Easier to put the squeeze on the spring and with two forms of safety, they are stable while holding a compressed spring. Each piece has a threaded clamp feature; and, then there is the cross bar to keep the two pieces together. Still you want to be cautious. The cost of this kit is what it would cost to pay a shop to swap just one shock. Using these at the house is a convenience for me as I only have one vehicle.

Worked great. Used the set to change front coil over springs on a 2018 f150.
